Who Killed Allyson Toomey?

Corpus Christi, TX - Easter weekend was a real bitch for a lot of little kids, it seems. On Saturday morning, MarchMarch reviews
22, at 2:37 a.m., Corpus Christi 911 got a call that 18-month-old Allyson Loraine Toomey was having trouble breathing. By March 24, Allyson Toomey was dead, her organs helping other babies who hopefully won’t be killed like she was. Little Allyson’s death has been ruled a homicide due to child abuse; the toddler died of massive blunt-force trauma to the head. Now police want to know who killed her. I have two guesses for you.
Allyson Toomey was born on September 6, 2006 to Amber Toomey. Toomey, now 24, has a Myspace that is bare of friends except for her younger sister. There are no pictures of Allyson on Amber’s page, although she is briefly mentioned as “almost two” in her mother’s About Me section. There is no mention of Allyson’s father.
Easter weekend, Amber Toomey and little Allyson went to Corpus from their Spring, Texas home to visit someone identified only as “an adult friend” in the press. That could be anyone from her sister to a boyfriend. What happened during that visit is unclear until the early morning 911 call on SaturdaySaturday reviews.
DoctorsDoctors reviews determined that Allyson’s injuries had been caused by child abuse. Both adults were at the home when Allyson was reportedly “found not breathing” on the floor next to a bed. Her brain swelled so much, so fast, that Allyson was declared brain dead by Wednesday, March 26. LifeLIFE reviews support was withdrawn and baby Allyson became an organ donor that afternoon. Doctors do not believe her injuries could have been caused by a simple fall.
An investigation is ongoing in Aransas County, and charges may be filed as early as this week. My money’s on mama and her “adult friend”.

What a sack of shit Mother!!! This baby is (was, sorry) so beautiful! I looked on the sisters myspace page… There is a picture of this baby while her so called mother is holding her… I zoomed in on the picture.. Is it just me or is there a large bruise on the baby’s upper arm???
I am still saying that people like this should not waste our tax payer money! I don’t want to pay a penny for the to hurt defenseless babies… Death Penalty for all Child Abusers out there!!!

My oldest rolled off the bed at my mom’s house once when she was about 6 months old or so & although it scared the hell out of my mother & I,my child wasnt seriously injured. No way am I buying that a fall from a bed did this unless it was a top bunk bed on a concrete floor without a rug. Even then I’d have major doubts. I’m sick to death of women having kids that they dont want /&/or refuse to take care of. There are too many ways to prevent pregnancy these days people!! For God sakes someone send that girl some protection. Again if the punishment fit the crime then whoever did this (my money’s on tha mama too) should be repeatedly dropped on their head from the top of the aforementioned bunkbed until they loose consciousness,then shot in the head for good measure.

So, Summer, if you’re out there, please come tell us what happened. Was it Amber’s friend, or what? I’ll try to research more on my own as well, since I’d like to update if Amber didn’t do this.

Not really. The Summer i mentioned above never did get back with me on the boyfriend’s name or when he was arrested or anything. I don’t even know if Allyson got a funeral, and Amber isn’t talking, so I dunno.
I mean, sadly, little Allyson isn’t coming back… but it would be nice to know there was justice out there for her. If you Google Allyson or Amber Toomey, we are just about all that comes up, so hopefully someone who knows something will come tell us.

I’m thinking that if anyone other than Amber was arrested for Allyson’s death, the authorities must have the wrong person “in bars”. Why has there been no mention of the fact that CPS took Allyson away from Amber at birth because of Amber’s drug use during her pregnancy? After the fate that poor little Allyson met, one can only imagine the destiny that awaits Amber’s unborn child. Drugs and babies don’t mix!

Karma, as far as I know, no one here has heard of anyone being arrested for Allyson’s death, and I don’t think anyone has heard of Allyson being taken from Amber, so clearly you know a lot more than many do. And you’re saying Amber is now pregnant? Anything you feel comfortable telling us would be most appreciated–I know I am not the only one to see the photo of that beautiful little girl and feel horrified that she was taken from this world.

I don’t actually have proof that anyone at all has been arrested, much less charged, with Allyson’s death. All i have are a couple of short, angry emails from someone who is disinclined to give me any actual information.
Any light you can shed on Amber for me would be greatly appreciated – this is one case that’s going to bug me until I find out what happened.

Yeah, the emails I got said that “the boyfriend is behind bars”, but gave no other information. I’m kind of wondering if the emailer, who used a ghost account, was actually Amber.
So was Allyson taken from Amber at birth because she tested positive for drugs, or what? Allyson was a beautiful baby who, in at least the one picture, was nicely dressed – I kind of figured Amber’s family was pretty supportive. I’ll do some digging, see if there’s anything else I can find out so I can update this case.

i just want to say that you are WRONG!! ok so update this please!! fyi i just want to tell you that i have known amber for a long time and i know what really happened. his name is ross and he killed her. it was her boyfriend. she was sleeping and ross went in the room where she was sleeping and she woke up. he then was playing with her and swinging her and he let go and she fell back an hit the back of her head. he rushed her to amber who was sleeping and she freaked out. they immediately took her to the hospital. that is when the dr.s did eveything they could to help her but it was too late. amber is one of my best friends. our children were 3 months apart. we had plans to raise our daughters together. sometimes shit happens and you wish you did things differently. she has do live with the fact that she will never see her daughter again, or watch her go to prom, or get married. ross in now in jail and awaiting trial. he writes her letters and she never responds. i have read some of the letters and in them he begs for her forgivness and tells her how sorry he is. please fix your stupid blog because the statements that you have are wrong and you arent giving the whole story. i have met ross and i never liked him. he is doing the time and amber is trying to pick up the pieces. think about her situation. a mother should never have to bury her child. at the funeral she was devastated and could barely walk. she is broken and a piece of her passed away with ali. oh and the myspace was new. she doesnt even get on it. sorry eveything is random but i was just writting as things came to me. and about summer she is taking it hard too so let it be. nuff said.

damaris, how on earth would be expected to know these kinds of details? When was Ross arrested, and where? If we can find some kind of record, we certainly will get the story updated. Many of us have been wondering if there’d ever be justice for beautiful little Allyson.

Not a lot of findings were released on this but I feel confident that if a jury found him not guilty and after reading Damaris’ post that this was really an accident. But still suprised that there was not a manslaughter or reckless endangerment charge.
Maybe damaris or someone will come back and tell us what they feel really happened.
