Waldport, OR — Chris Sparks, Robert Bernal and Cody Rector wanted to be Jackasses, like the guys on television. They did a hell of a job. On March 1, the three morons waited until a 17-year-old friend was passed out drunk at a party. Then they beat and sexually assaulted the boy, identified only as “Troy” and lit him on fire with butane, witnesses say.
Do our Jackass wannabes have Myspaces? Of course they do! The story seems to be that Sparks, 18, Bernal, 20, and Rector, 19, were just playing a “teenage drunken prank”. Which of course explains the anal rape and the victim’s need for reconstructive facial and body surgery.
All three men were in court Monday for arraignment on charges of assault, sodomy, rape, harassment and reckless endangering. All are being held on $300,000 bail.

All your ‘proof’ consists of is the statement, “I know what happened, and you don’t, so there!” Provide facts, or shut the fuck up!
If you have facts to exonerate your son, I would really like to hear them. Truly. But if you had those facts, two things would have happened already: 1.) you would have provided them instead of using the age-old, lame-o “I know and you don’t,” routine; and 2.) your son wouldn’t still be charged with the crime. Because, generally, in the face of irrefutable proof, cops don’t keep innocent people locked up. The fact that the charges still stand, means that whatever ‘proof’ you think you have is not substantial enough to warrant the dropping of the charges.
Like I said, give us facts, or STFU.

Most people would have just said “eat shit”, but Metal was very specific in saying “a BAG of shit”. Every time I read that statement I get a mental image of some horse-faced woman wearing a feed bag full of shit, and greedily slurping it up! STILL ROFLMFAO!!!!

But these actions deserve no defense and, frankly, you can’t defend the child without defending the actions. Love him, but leave the rest alone. Whether he was directly involved or not, he stood around while his friends raped and lit a young man on fire.
Your son is an utter failure. He deserves your love, but not your defense. You should be hanging your head in shame, rather than berating total strangers for passing very reasonable judgment.

kbernal, if your son is so innocent, why have their friends come out to say all three had bullied the victim for years? On the strength of that, I can’t assume that he had NO idea what was going on. Or that he was uninvolved. You weren’t there, and you can’t know for sure. Teens and young adults, in case you didn’t know, LIE to their parents if they’ve done something wrong, in most cases. With all the evidence pointing towards your son’s involvement, including the damning voices of his own FRIENDS, you’ve got to be blind not to have some little voice of doubt deep down inside you. Instead of ignoring it, and blasting us for voicing what you don’t want to admit to yourself, start thinking about it objectively…
no, actually, don’t bother, just stfu and go keep thinking your son can do no wrong, that’s a huge part of the reason why he thought that doing this to a friend was okay in the first place. No wonder you don’t want to admit your son is responsible, because then you would have to shoulder some of the responsibility for not teaching him right from wrong in the first place.
