GREENSBURG, Pa. - Scott Smith, 18, made a call to 911 in regards to a choking baby. When ambulance personnel arrived at the home, the 5-month-old baby was taken to the hospital where severe injuries were noticed. Police were called and the baby was flown to Children’s Hospital of PittsburghPittsburgh reviews
of UPMC, where surgery was performed. Smith has now been charged with aggravated assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse resulting in serious bodily injury and endangering the welfare of a child.
Smith told police that he found the baby in her crib choking. He stated he removed a red crayon from its mouth and performed CPR. What he has not explained are why investigators found a bloody blue towel in Smith’s bedroom and five red-stained baby wipes and a soiled, bloody condom in the laundry room.
Smith lives in the house with several people, including the infant’s mother, who had left for school that morning. Smith is in jail in lieu of $1 million bail.

This is why the death penalty should apply to cases of abuse against children. This guy needs to be put down like the rabid dog he is. He is a danger to every child, everywhere. He cannot be rehabilitated, any more than a person infected with AIDS can be. Both conditions are incurable diseases, and if I had to bet on which one would have a cure developed for it first, my money would be on the AIDS patient. The article you read is true. Rape is a crime of violence and power…the sex is just the means used to demonstrate the offender’s power over the woman.
