Randi's 26th birthday was March 25th, 2008 just shortly after the murder. And we all just celebrated Kassidy's 1st birthday at the end of this last August. It's hard to believe we won't all be celebrating any of their birthday's together. I hate that fact. I hate it so much. Happy Birthday Timmy. We love you, we miss you so much. It's like you could see inside the inner workings of our family and our hearts. It is hard and it really doesn't get easier. It all still seems so surreal. Like a bad dream we will wake up from. But we know it’s not. We’ve seen their empty home, we’ve watched their military burials take place, we love their daughter who was orphaned at six months, we feel their absence at family gatherings/celebrations, and we go to the cemetery to visit and grieve where they’ve been laid to rest. Time does go by and the initial shock fades, but the constant reminder and heartache endures; especially when (like you said) milestones are reached, and Tim and Randi aren’t there to celebrate with us. We are grateful for the constant love and support we receive from our friends, family and even strangers, and it helps knowing that we are cared for and thought of throughout this whole dreadful nightmare. I felt compelled to leave a message on Tim's mom's page. My heart goes out to this couple's family and friends. It's been a couple months now since they were so savagely taken from them and the love continues to pour out in messages to them. That alone speaks volumes to me as to what kind of people they were. There is a huge void in the lives of those that knew them personally. It isnt getting easier for them. Days go by. Holidays. Milestones in their baby daughter's life. Graduations. If there is any bit of compassion in any of us our time here is best spent praying for those left behind. Not contemplating what kind of lives they led. And if prayer isnt your thing..how about a kind word? or a peaceful thought? I'm new to this posting thing and normally I dont feel a need to say what has already been said by others. Thanks for reading my two cents.
