Anthony Tyrone Terrell: Pissed Off Juvenile

and charged with killing his mother and two sisters. Late Thursday night, police found the bodies of Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Deputy Joy Deleston, 39, and her two daughters, Micaiah, 11, and Jelani, 4. Thirty-five minutes later, Terrell arrived at the home and was arrested after talking with police at the scene.  This case has been in our forums for a couple of days, and I was waiting for a motive so I could post it here with suitably imflammatory comments.  But the case has suddenly been pushed into the spotlight because it turns out that four year old Jelani Gray was the product of a relationship between Deleston and rapper Terius Gray, better known as “Juvenile”.Â
The issue I have with cases like this is that now it’s all about Juvenile. And how it is that a multi-million-selling recording artist has an affair with a part-time actress and sheriff’s deputy.  Juvenile’s gonna get more press out of this than anything he’s done in the past four years, including the birth and paternity issues around his daughter.   And while I feel horrible for the murder of little Jelani, I also feel horrible for her mother, and for eleven year old Micaiah.
Delaston and her children lived in a nice area near Lawrenceville, where gunfire isn’t the norm. Neighbors reported shots fired on Thursday night, and police arrived to find Micaiah lying inside the doorway, Joy Delaston inside the living room, and Jelani upstairs in her bed, all of them shot to death with an undisclosed weapon. Police wouldn’t comment on whether Joy Delaston’s service weapon was used or whether a weapon was recovered. Police further stated that they were unaware of a motive in the slayings. Joy Delaston had been with Gwinnett County for seven years and was assigned to the Sex Offender Unit, getting child molesters off the streets.Â
Terrell is being held without bond in neighboring DeKalb County to avoid any potential conflict because Deleston worked for Gwinnett County. Because of his age, prosecutors cannot seek the death penalty against Terrell. A preliminary hearing will be set next week.Â

Reports say he was making regular child-support payments and is devastated by his daughter’s death. Sad, isn’t it, that a father making regular child-support payments is worth mentioning in a news story.

Imp, what can anyone say? Everything that happens to even a lesser celebrity is of more importance than anything that happens to the rest of us. Jelani is famous in death only because her father is a minor rap star. Otherwise she’d just be another dead baby like all the others.

Wrybread, he was paying child support NOW, but that’s only after being arrested for nonpayment in 2003, 2006 and 2007.

Not that I’ve been able to find, nope. I’m thinking he wanted something he wasn’t getting and felt entitled to have, but that’s just a wild guess based on the last three or four cases like this we’ve had.

I am so curious as to what this 17 yr old is going to say. I was just thinking too…..Imagine if you were a 17 yr old boy, no father figure and your mom was a fucking cop….I bet he got a lot of shit from his friends. Not that that is an excuse, just saying…maybe he got sick of listening to bullshit and thought he’d off her. (Just pulling at straws here, thinking about shit) Who knows what goes on in the mind of these fucked up peoples?

I’ve never even heard of Juvenile the rapper until this. I would still like to know why this happened. Terrell will not be a popular person when he goes to big boy prison.

he could of came before the funeral privately like imediate family is suppose to do. We don’t know what his plans for the finacial aspects are.
I think Terrell should pay… every penny he earns in prison should be absorbed…
if the mom is 39 – how old is juvenile ?
I also wonder what was his relationship like with her two older children. This may be difficult for him and he could still be in shock it is all a little too fast.

I said that about the funeral costs because in Post 3 above it was said that Juvenile has been in arrears with child support payments during several years. I suppose he might cough up for the funeral as a gesture, but he’s still a BabyDaddy in my book.
And in my area, the family comes privately beforehand, stands by the casket during the viewing, and then sits in a private area during the funeral, and is by the casket during burial, so I guess customs differ around the country.
