Mesa, AZ – Chad Coker, 31, stabbed William Edward Westover 50 times. Probably because Westover, 29, was kind of a step up for Coker’s ex, and Coker, well… isn’t. Ed Westover was out on his first date with Coker’s ex-wife, and Coker just couldn’t stand it.

Police responded to a frantic 911 call from the woman’s apartment early SaturdaySaturday reviews. They found Chad Coker holding a bloody knife and Ed Westover’s body in the bathtub. The woman was also threatened and assaulted. She was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.

Westover and Coker’s ex were forced to leave a restaurant when Coker showed up acting like a less-pretty Clay Kufner. The couple moved to a sports bar and then went to the woman’s apartment, where they had been followed. Westover and the woman had been at the apartment for few minutes when Coker broke in, put the woman in a headlock, grabbed a knife off the kitchen counter and forced Westover into the bathroom, where he stabbed him fifty times to be really, really, really sure he was dead. As he was stabbing Westover, he yelled at his ex-wife that she was next, assaulting her when she tried to defend Westover.

Ed Westover’s Myspace shows a father of three beautiful redhaired daughters. He appears to be a reasonably successful businessman. His mood on Valentine’s DayValentine’s Day reviews was “giddy”, and his blog entries show that he was articulate and intelligent – things that Chad Coker does not appear to be. Coker was, simply put, outclassed. Westover had met Coker’s ex online.

After a chase, police caught Coker, who is in the Navajo County Jail on $500,000 bond. He is charged with first-degree murder, burglary, aggravated assault and criminal damage. He should have pulled a Clay and shot himself.
