Phillip and April Williams are Jackasses
February 20, 2008 by impqueen

Columbus, Ohio – “When traveling to a large city in winter to visit friends, I always find that it’s best to toss my toddler into the back seat of my car with no shoes, coat, or restraints. That way, if she falls out or I throw her and she fractures her skull, I can keep drivin’.” That seems to be the thought process of Darwin-Award-by-proxy parents Phillip Williams, 39, and April Williams, 28.
The Williams’ three-year-old daughter was found on a Columbus street on Monday wearing no coat, no shoes, and bleeding from the back of her head. A man found the child wandering and called 911. A fire medic took the little girl to the hospital, where it was determined she had suffered a skull fracture along with cuts and bruises to her back.
The parents’ statement to police pretty much consisted of “Oops, we were just visiting here from West Virginia and she musta fell out of the car” or some such nonsense. Of course, April Williams drove a number of blocks before noticing the child was gone, and the parents couldn’t really offer an explanation as to why they drove off with a car door hanging open or what exactly happened.
So, off to jail for April and Phil on charges of child endangerment. April Williams’ bond was set at $5,000, but oddly enough the judge did not order her to stay away from her daughter. Phillip Williams was ordered held on a $15,000 bond, probably due to his two convictions on drug trafficking charges.
The 3-year-old girl is in the custody of Childrens Services.

Okay I haven’t been to sleep yet and I am getting old…but did I see that the mom only got a bond of 5,000 meaning she could be out with only 500 buck’s, and too boot she could probably be able to get the kid back?? Damn are you kidding not bad enough she is tossed out of a moving care by at least one parent not sure wish but maybe give the kid back so they can finish the job???? This make’s me really sick….I hope the bitch is not able to get up the money cause she doesn’t deserve to be called a mother……*shakes head*

There are just soooooooo many things wrong with this story. Damn. I cannot believe what I just read. Wow. I’m trying to figure out who I think is more stupid, these parents, or the judge that set the low bond.

The parents, I’ll chalk to stupidity and never should have been allowed to have children. BUT, I have to give the most stupid award, to the dumbass judge, for the unbelievable bond – (and the icing on the cake) – HE DIDN’T order the bitch away from the child. WTH?
One can only hope a grandparent will step in, document the stupid judge, and when we are again reading about this child being hurt/killed by these idiot parents, that someone will reem the judge’s ass properly. I bet CPS can’t even believe that shit. Again, WTH?

Hey, I’m from West Virginia. We get confused sometimes when we go to a big city place like Ohio. I have lost track of many children in Ohio in just this way. Keep having more, but then I have to go to Ohio, and out the window or door they go. I lost both sets of grandparents when I went to Pittsburgh. I guess they just fell out of the car crossing the bridge. I’m down to a couple of uncles and aunts, but we’ve agreed to just stay home.
Seriously, I am from West Virginia and I cringe every time some story like this comes up. Embarrassing and awful.

I live in Columbus, but on the opposite side of town of where this happened. The story these fucks are giving just does not add up. Plus, they have 4 other kids aged 12 & under. It’s bullshit to believe that this little girl just fell out and they kept on driving to the east side like 5 or so miles away before anyone noticed. Makes no sense at all.
That poor little girl! She wasn’t even dressed for the weather… The day this went down it was very cold here. I think the high was only about 15, and with windchill it was like 0. Thank goodness someone decent found this child and got her to safety. There’s no telling what could have happened to her! Those idiots don’t deserve to have ANY kids. GRRRR…

How in the HELL does a child FALL out of a car and you not notice!!!!!! Jesus!!! I just want to adopt all these children in who are mistreated! At least then they would actually have someone who cares and watches after them!
$5,000 bond……WTF, seriously, come on! Keep the child away from this psycho woman as well…..please!!!!

Were the other kids in the car?
Once my infants car seat got loosened & tipped on its side when I turned a corner & within seconds my 2 yr old was telling me “baby fell”…
Are the rest of the kids mute? Or too terrified to talk?

I watched a news report the day this happened and they said that other children were taken at the scene, and sent to Chilren’s Services. So, I’m guessing some of them must have been.

Makes no sense at all.†MIZL stated. Well, now that explains it, the other kids in the car wanted more room so they decided to toss one out to make more room. I am from West Virginia too, and when my daughter did fall out of the car, I went back and got her and the amazing part is that we lived in Ohio at the time. I had buckled her up and she took off the seatbelt. My car door wouldn’t shut the proper way and would fling open if making a turn in the opposite direction. I was lucky that the car didn’t roll over her, but it did teach her a valuable lesson, when Mommy buckles you up, stay that way. My daughter wasn’t hurt, just skinned up a little and I grabbed her up and hugged her so hard, she thought she was going to break. It scared the hell out of me. My daughter still talks about what happened to her that day to all kids who don’t like to be buckled up. She is now a teacher.

Here is video of the parents in court yesterday:
http://www.abc6onyourside.com/shared/newsroom/top_stories/wsyx_vid_374.shtml
They will not be regaining custody of the kids at this time. Apparently, cocaine was found in the little girls system while she was at the hospital. Last night on the news they played a portion of the mothers 911 call… She says that all 5 kids were in the van playing playstation and it wasn’t until they got to a gas station 5 miles away, that ANYONE realized the girl was not in the van. I’m trying to find the 911 call online someplace, I’ll post a link if I find it. But, the video is worth watching. Get a load of the lawyer, he seems about as stupid as the parents.
