Jeremy Smith

SOMERSET, Pa. – Jeremy Smith got into an altercation with his girlfriend, Mary St. Clair, on Jan. 1. He punched, kicked and threw St. Clair to the ground all while she was caring for her 11-day-ol grandson. The sack of shit also attempted to pull the baby from St. Clair’s arms. Because of his actions, the infant suffered a broken arm, broken leg, skull fracture and broken nose. The parents of the baby were never told of the incident.

On Jan 30th, the parents took the infant to Children’s Hospital where the injuries were discovered. Naturally, the staff notified the police. It was at this time that St. Clair came clean and told everyone what had happened. Smith is being held in the Somerset County Jail. He faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and endangering the welfare of a child.

Wow, I can’t believe it took a month for the grandma to fess up. She is a shitbag too. But how did it take the parents almost a month to notice the baby’s injuries?

No shit – what were the parents doing, proping him up in a corner and hosing milk to him? Did they not bath the child in a month’s time? A broken arm and leg – that baby had to be crying a lot. WTH. I’ve had both, (fortunately, not at the same time) it hurts like hell. I had pain meds, too. That poor, poor baby. :(

Quiz for DD Denizens: How many days does it take to notice your baby has a broken arm, broken leg, and broken head?

A.) No days, ten seconds tops

    B.) One day, because you’re in the hospital and EMS has the baby;

C.) Two days, because you’re an idiot; or

D.) Thirty days, because you should never have been allowed to breed in the first place.

The answer, of course, is D for Dreamin’ Demon!

Something doesn’t add up. How could a kid have a broken nose, leg, arm, and head, and not have parents notice for a month. I don’t buy it. Also, the pictured mug’s GIRLFRIEND was this baby’s grandma? Doesn’t he look a mite young to have a granny for a girlfriend?? Something’s rotten in Denmark, folks. I think more is going to come to light about this. Like the parents abused the kid and are setting this poor sap up or something. Color me cynical….

They didn’t notice a broken nose even? Hello? There had to be some swelling.
Yeah, this poor baby definitely deserves better in the way of family.

And just for the record, if anyone tries to kick my ass while I am holding a baby, you better hope and PRAY that you are out of my line of sight quicker than I can put that baby down because I will stomp your ass to mush.

And if I can’t stomp your ass, I’ll be back with something or someone to even the odds and then stomp their ass.

Well, the guy could be dating an older woman. Or, the woman has a child who had a baby at a young age. That also may explain why they didn’t notice the injuries. Babies kind of look like wrinkly, old men at that age anyway, right?.

I think they had enough evidence to charge the guy so the story is what probably happened. The baby wasn’t even taken to the hospital because of the injuries.

My husband and I are both going to be 48 this summer and neither one of us look like we are even close to being in our 40’s, but we are grandparents. So it IS possible that she’s not as old as the hills, but if she is older, at least she can blame Alzheimer’s or Dementia for her forgetfulness of mentioning the baby’s injuries.

Found more information. He is 31, St. Clair is 39. Police were called to the house that Jan 1st and they were both charged with simple assault and harassment. Since then, he has been charged two more times for assaulting St. Clair.

During his arraignment Thursday morning, Smith appeared to be shocked at the charges.

“They are saying that baby had a broken arm and all that,” he said. “Your honor, this is crazy. This is some trumped up, crazy, ridiculous bull.”

    Amazing stuff.

I am a divorced dad, and I see my 2 kids, 5&7 according to contract every month. When they were both tiny, my ex-wife and I were like super-bodyguards to them, and wouldn’t even trust our own parents to look after the babies until they had strong necks and fully hardened skulls (still wouldn’t trust my mom).

It was a whole month until this little newborn had medical attention. What a den of idiots.

That old grandma bitch needs to be charged with concealing child abuse. She didn’t to give up her younger bf, so she hid the fact the baby was hurt. Those parents had to know their child was injured. Bitch grandma prolly begged them not to do/say anything about it so she wouldn’t lose her man, but the injuries discovered at the baby’s regular checkup. It is a wonder the baby didn’t die. Pitiful.

The stories on this website remind me of those awful “three generations” of women novels, like Judith Krantz’ junk. Each woman has a baby at 14 or so, and in the end, the grandmother is only 45 and has a 15 year old grand-daughter. I thought that was terribly unrealistic and silly, but now I know better.

D.) Thirty days, because you should never have been allowed to breed in the first place.

That would be nice wouldn’t it?
“You! You’re too stupid to breed! *snip*”

I think alot of these creeps would never have survived long enough to breed in the old days. Nature has a way of taking out the unfit — and some of these horrors would have fallen down a well, been crushed by a wagon, cut themselves while molesting baby sister and died of an infection and so forth. Their need to do stupid things would have backfired on them. Not a perfect theory, I admit, but one that allows me to go on living.

Nowadays you have to take a porsche or a special Beemer and drive into a wall or off an airstrip to fulfill your Darwinian destiny.

This is the link to the newspaper – there is also an article called: “Doctor: Injuries not always readily apparent in newborns”.

I used to date an abusive guy with the same name. I thought this was him. It’s not. Not something I’m proud of. You know you live in a shitty society when there’s more than one of these assholes. I agree with the Darwinian theory – the strong carry on and the weak die off. That’s the way it should be. Otherwise you’re stuck in a world with morons. Harsh

St. Clair was watching the newborn and two other young grandchildren on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

She’s an awfully young grandmother to have at least 3 grandchildren! Her kids must have been “busy” at real young ages!

Smith is also facing charges in two other domestic disputes involving St. Clair for incidents that occurred on Dec. 1 and Jan. 21, according to court documents. All three domestic dispute cases were sent up to the Court of Common Pleas.

Since that article refers to St. Clair as Smith’s “former girlfriend, she apparently dumped this twat, but apparently she’s a slow learner.

If I was the grandmother involved in this situation I would of immediatly taken the child to the hospital. I could not of slept for the worry that the child may die. I am disgusted by her actions, she is worse then he is if you ask me. Grow up and lose the losers and do what is right for petes sake….even if you get in a bit or a lot of trouble.

Don’t really know how to reply to that. I am an older woman (old enough to be a grandma.) Boyfriend is a bit younger than I.

As for the story. I do find it hard to believe that the parents didn’t notice the baby was hurt for nearly a month. When my daughter was young I noticed everything. If she breathed wrong or whimpered differently. That just seems strange to me.
