Thanks to resident pimpstress, Kathy, I have a story full of so much fucked up stuff I don’t even know where to start. We have a 10-year-old who tried to poison his family with lamp oil and BAM! cleaner, a 24-year-old brother who gives him a black eye and a grandmother who locks him up in a dog crate.
WASHINGTON, Pa. — After a 10-year-old boy was not allowed to go on a family trip, he retaliated by lacing the family drinks with lamp oil and a household cleaner. The entire family had been sick with flu-like symptoms for about a month. Somehow, the family found out about what he was doing, and showed their appreciation. The grandmother, Rhonda Lehman, 51, locked her 10-year-old grandson in a feces-filled dog crate for about 90 minutes. She also called a Washington County agency and told them that if someone didn’t come for the boy, she would bury him alive in the back yard.
The older brother, Michael McCreery,24, is accused of punching the boy in the face. When asked why he would punch a 10-year-old in the eye, he said, “It’s better than what I wanted to do to him.”
Lehman and McCreery are in the Washington County Jail on $25,000 bail.McCreary is charged with punching the boy and Lehman is charged with child endangerment and terroristic threats. The 10-year-old is now with the county’s Children and Youth Services agency.
The young boy told his grandmother goodbye, she told him not to come back.
I am kinda torn on this one. I mean, on one hand the kid is 10. On the other hand, he poisoned the family. Sure there are a lot of ways that these people could have handled the situation, but had I just found out my 10-year-old brother just tried to poison me…well, I am not sure if I would be running over to tickle him and buy him an ice cream cone.

Oh, here is a little more info about this family. The 10-year-old’s father, who is the grandmother’s son, escaped from a federal prison in California and the whereabouts of his mother are unknown.

Sounds like the kid has had a wonderful upbringing.
12:59 pm on January 30th, 2008
At least these scumbags had enough sense to call someone to come get the kid instead of just offing him.
1:09 pm on January 30th, 2008
Holy shit… which one is the grandma and which one is the brother?
LOL! I can just imagine that conversation.
Surprise buttsecks?
This one’s indeed a toss-up; sounds like a family that really deserves each other.

Here’s where the “he’s just a kid” defense fails to impress me.
A ten-year-old would not forsee that when he’d poisoned everyone, he’d have no place to live.
But a ten-year-old KNOWS that putting lamp oil in your food is wrong. If he didn’t know this, he would have put in his own food or not even considered it as a way to punish his family. He knew how to harm them and he did it.
So I am with the family on this one. My only concern is for the dog, which seems not be receiving good care if its crate is full of feces.

So.. is the kid in juvie for poisoning his family?
I have threatened to bury my children in the backyard with only a straw to breathe through. I did promise to tube down milkshakes three times a day, though. And i don’t crate my kids. I might Dogloo them, though, if they’d make those doors a little bit bigger.
Probably the brother shouldn’t have punched Little Sociopath in the face. And probably Grandma shouldn’t have crated him, or at least cleaned out the cage better.
Hey, I wonder if the ten year old has a Myspace.

Ah-hahahaha!
Ah-hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!
I was torn on this one too. He is only ten. But, the little fucker tried to kill them! They may not have used the best methods to punish him, but I don’t think a time out, grounding or spanking is a sufficient punishment for attempted murder or assault.
But damn, it cracks me up that they were both ballsy enough to admit that they wanted to do much worse than they had done to the kid. How could the cops listen to that shit and keep a straight face?

For the 10 year old kid to be such a jerk, that’s no doubt a learned characteristic. That’s all he knows. That family is obviously fucked from the ground up. The whole scenario – even before the poisoning, punching and dog crate – is odd. A grandmother probably raising her 24 year old grandson (lazy ass, probably) and minor grandson. One of HER kids is either an escaped convict or a mom who doesn’t give a shit about her own kids. Yes, grandma at LEAST gave the kids a house to live in, but it doesn’t seem like much of a home if it was full of this much anger and hatred. My kids have all been pissed off at me before, but who hasn’t hated what their parents (or guardians in this instance) were doing when it came to rules, discipline, saying “no”, etc., at one time or another. That’s normal. Kids get mad – go to their rooms, maybe slam the door (which would happen only ONCE in my house then the bedroom door would be removed) and sulk, etc. Not poison anyone, nor be punched, put in a crate and threatened to be buried alive. This family is whacko and the boys should be fixed at the local vets before anymore whackos can be procreated.

hahahahahahThat Kid got PAYBACK! Not near as much as they coulda done either! yep—Hard to tell grandma and big bro apart—We all KNOW how families like this tend to get the branches twisted up though!!
2:17 pm on January 30th, 2008
Yeah – I DO give them an “A” for honesty.
2:24 pm on January 30th, 2008
Okay…math is not my forte, and I admit it, but from my calculations, the lady, (and man, I hate to use that word to describe this female) would have become a grandmother at the age of 27.
She’s 51 – minus 24 (age of oldest grandson) = 27. Is that correct? Wouldn’t this actually be the mom? I’m confused…not hard to do on Hump Day!
2:32 pm on January 30th, 2008
oh—These family tree things– you know daddy probably got his sister preggos in middle school….Then “grew up” and got a real wife and had a baby (10 year old), and they are really half- brothers or something strange…
what a tangled web we weave…..
2:34 pm on January 30th, 2008
then of course real wife realizes what kind of shithole she married and that her best bet is to get the hell outta dodge!
2:38 pm on January 30th, 2008
I thought I read somewhere else that he was 19. Makes a little bit of a difference.
2:51 pm on January 30th, 2008
That would make more sense – both grandma and daughter (or son) having babies around 16 years old. Nor would it surprise me.
3:11 pm on January 30th, 2008
Yep, sometimes the stump runs deep.
3:18 pm on January 30th, 2008
And sometimes, THAT’s not a bad thing, honey.

WTH – I don’t even know where to begin.
With the kid knowing to slip stuff in their food, makes me wonder what his life was like at home. And implies to me, that there were some serious issues already going on in the home that needed to be addressed. I “hated” my parents on a regular basis, when I became a teen – I don’t remember being that angry earlier (pre-teen). Mostly, pouting and crying to get my way – never a violent ending. Even when I was a teen, I looked for ways to get “my way” but never considered murder as an option – then again, I was not abused by my family.
The article said he didn’t get to go on a family trip – that implies, family interaction, vacations, what have you – and that leaves him to be a malicious, spoiled brat that didn’t get his way, so now he is gonna kill everyone.
I’m not sure where I stand on this one – until more facts come out about his home life – I can’t call it yet. They may have been abusing him so bad, that they needed killing.
I wonder if his reason for killing them came from him or the adults in the family? Was the family trip excuse, the reason the adults gave or did the 10 year old state that is why he wanted to kill them.
Another thing, it said the family had been sick for a month – I don’t know how many of you have oil lamps at home, but you can smell that stuff and BAM, too. Didn’t grandma’s cooking skills suddenly go all to hell and the food begin to taste bad to her own self and the 24 year old brother? I mean at my grandma’s, if it isn’t just the best eating you have ever had – you know something is up immediately. How could she not know herself? Did they have a little “slaveboy” doing their cooking and cleaning? I just don’t understand how she couldn’t notice the difference in her own food, that she prepared.
And finally, if the adults are just victims of a brat – I can’t say a fault the brother for giving him a knock on the head. Better a black eye now, than the pen for life. He stopped himself before laying a beat down on him. And, then grandma and the dog crate – wow, maybe she just needed to put him somewhere neither one of them could get their hands on him for a little while – maybe that is why he is still alive – not the ideal time out, but he’s not been beat to death.
If my brother had just tried to kill me, I would have knocked the shit out of him younger or older. I mean he did just try to murder them. I can see that happening.
I would love to know what his everyday life was like at home.

kid sounds like freakin damian. without anymore deets than this-i must confess-i would have my 10 yr old (and i do have a 10 yr old) placed in a psychiatric ward for both our sakes. what the wee bastage did was heinous-a pop to the face is hardly equal punishment and locking him in a shitty kennel might save his life for the nonce. imagining the waves of anger that would flow for all the people poisoned, sick day after day, thinking about the wee turd doing it because he was told he couldnt go somewhere. could you ever trust the lad again?
my children are my life line to sanity; if they up and began trying to kill me-i can’t even go there.. a worse nightmare is hardly available to me.
day after day wondering, worrying-never sure what is “right”=
fuck that
children are precious but they can still fuck up and do really terrible things and other humans will only be human reacting to wretched treatment.
i can think of bou coup ways he could have been treated far worse
a spank isnt going to cure this bint, i wager.
3:39 pm on January 30th, 2008
I would have to agree with that – a spanking wouldn’t do one thing for this mess.
I think the Lord he is still alive – they could have very easily gone off, in a moment of rage and beat him to death. This child no matter what the “trigger” was – is in some serious need of professional help.
We can not forget he is 10. He is a child – possibly a very sick child, but still a 10 year old child. If there was not any abuse in the home, they better keep him at the hospital for a while – like forever, or he will kill someone.
3:47 pm on January 30th, 2008
*THANK the Lord* – correcting my stupidity…………………..
9:31 pm on January 30th, 2008
poisoning at “10″
better take a look in the backyard-dead animals are buried somewhere
10:57 pm on January 30th, 2008
Yes, what answer could the police make to the guy stating that he’d wanted to do much worse? I’m sure that story went around the police grapevine.
Oh, what a tangled web we weave,
When first we start out to conceive,
And pop out kids without reprieve.
Not sure if “Dad” is Uncle Steve.
or a sailor we met while on shore leave.

Yeah that would me funny

hehehehe
12:24 am on February 1st, 2008
That would be funny! But in this case, I’m with the family. I think they showed admirable restraint. My concern is for that dog and its feces-filled crate. And I wonder if it’s eating Grandma’s cooking that can take additions of lamp oil and Bam-o without tasting different.

An outing denied to a boy
Led to a poisoning ploy
Locked in a crate
Boy pondered his fate
And hailed the police with great joy.

Oh dear me.. i am going to prison.
I bought my 5 yr old nephew a dog house to play with in his bedroom… I put my dog in a playpen… and my 14 yr old has had the offer of being driven too far to walk back more than once…
Oh… I lock the cat in the basement at night when the weather is extreme (sometimes without a litter box)

this quote is way off first of all I would like to know how one would escape from a FEDERAL prison second the grandmother is NOT the fathers mother it is the mothers mother and the father was released from prison after serving 10 years and was put on probation and is now a FREE man and trying to get a hold of his son whom he obviosly has never meet seeing as to how he has been in prison though now a changed man and wanting to be a good father to his son he is happily married to a wonderful woman and he has a good job a house and is going to school to better himself more I just wish that people would get the facts correct before they post them!!!!!
