William J. Goddard Is A Very Bad Boyfriend

Worcester, Mass. - William J. Goddard isn’t just a bad boyfriend, he’s also a Level 3 Sex Offender. And now, he’s a killer. Way to keep ‘em locked up, Massachusetts! Goddard, 38, killed his girlfriend Kelly Brackley, a mother of five children, Monday morning.
A neighbor reports that Goddard had been living with Brackley and two of her children off and on “for years”. Brackley’s other three children live with their father. The neighbor said Goddard once helped Brackley build a white picket fence between their houses. According to the Massachusetts State Sex Offender Registry, Goddard was convicted in 1998 of indecent assault and battery on a person age 14 or older and remains listed as a Level 3 offender – the most likely category to reoffend. Yet he’s been out of prison for quite some time in order to be hanging out with Brackley for years on end.
Brackley had enough of Goddard by this past weekend, and packed her things to move out . She stayed part of the weekend her father in a nearby town, and went to work yesterday morning at the Action Crash Parts store in Webster. About 9:15, Goddard arrived at the store toting firearms and started shooting at Brackley. Also wounded in the attack was Brackley’s co-worker, Yograj Shivoasani, 25. Shivoasani was trying to intervene in order to help Brackley when he was hit.
After shooting up the auto parts store, Goddard led police on an eight-hour chase which ended in an armed standoff in a field some thirty miles away. As Goddard fired a shot into the air, police shot him with a beanbag to take him down. He will be arraigned today on a murder charge, and more charges are likely to be forthcoming.

It’s one of the “less that lethal” options available to police agencies. The small beanbag fits inside a normal shotgun shell, and is intended to disable a suspect long enough to be taken safely into custody.
After shooting up an auto parts store, and then an armed standoff with police, I would have shot him with a lot more than a beanbag. Saves on court costs, taxpayer money spent on housing and feeding in an already overcrowded prison…And heartbreak when he get’s paroled and does it all again. But hey, that’s just me.

Tell you what, I worked for an armored car company for 5 years, I was trained by a State Trooper instructor on the use of deadly physical force…someone so much as pointed a gun in my general direction they were getting one or more .357 magnum hydroshocks, center mass. As a civilian you are authorized to use deadly physical force in NY “if any reasonable, prudent person would be in fear of their life” Police Officers are held to a higher standard, but this guy’d already killed one person, wounded another, and is waving a gun at the police? Take him out!

I knew this guy. Even worked for him. He made more than one ‘pass’ at me, but that’s another bit of sleezy-ness entirely.
None of the kids where his, they were all from Brackley’s prior relationship. He was always bragging about how he was cheating on her, was a raging alcoholic, and an all around creepy guy. Half of us that knew him though, thought he might be a cop. It was just the way he looked and carried himself. He was a bouncer/manager at the bar – not a good enviornment for an ass like that.
But, yeah, if anyone ever comes across some updates on this guy, I’d appreciate it if they could send them this way. I’m really eager to see how the trial goes and how long this fucker has to go to prison. Thanks!

there are 2 sets of children that are victims of this trajedy. kelly has 5 kids, bill has 6 (and one deceased).they had no children together. i am the mother of one of them. i have a child with bill and she knows nothing about any of this. i was bill’s ex right before kelly…bill had nothing to do with any of his children before this, by the way…but these kids will know someday that their father is a murderer. it’s all so sad and unreal to me still.
i am very concerned about how her kids are doing, how her family is coping, etc. i, in NO way, excuse what bill has done. they were going through a bad break up and he did the unthinkable…
i also learned recently that kelly has nothing marking her grave. no headstone, nothing. i wish someone in her family would respond so maybe we can all come together and get this done…
again, bill is in jail, no trial date set as of yet…

Went out with this peice of trash 3 times before I was totally creeped out and ran. He scared me. He kept insisting that we spend time at his house. Thank goodness I followed my gut! i met him through a friend who used to bounce with him at Shabooms and then at Mulligan’s. So no trial yet?
