Pedro Lara Jr. Needs His Quiet, Kills Baby

Brownsville, TX - If you’re an infant and Pedro Lara tells you to shut up, you better just go on and do it. Or else he’ll shove your head into a pillow until you’re dead. Alyssa Nicole Ramos, 10 months, found that out the hard way Tuesday night. Alyssa was Lara’s girlfriend’s baby. Of course. Then, on examination, the baby was found to have a badly healed broken arm.
Police had interviewed Lara several times because he’d been with baby Alyssa right before she mysteriously fell unresponsive. The preliminary autopsy wasn’t showing a conclusive cause of death, and Lara was saying that he didn’t know anything about a broken arm or how Alyssa died. But on Thursday, Lara fessed up.
“(Pedro Lara) stated that when he got home that night the child was crying and that he put the child face down and put his hand on top of the child’s head and smothered the child,†Sheriff Omar Lucio said. Lara also casually mentioned that yeah, he’d broken the baby’s arm “about four months ago”, too.
Alyssa’s obituary is here (thanks, Justagirl!). Her mother’s name is Jessica Lopez. Juan Ramos is the father. Alyssa is survived by two siblings, Amanda Garcia and Pedro Lara III. And her sister Monica Lopez died at the age of six weeks in 2000. That looks like four kids by four fathers, unless my count is wrong. Â
Lara has been charged with capital murder, which is death penalty eligible in Texas. He remains at the Cameron County Jail in Olmito.

Im confused. Alyssa was 1o months old, and this guy Lara wasnt the dad. But the mom had a baby by this guy, so how old is that baby? One month old? She had them literally back to back? Or is the brother older and she was going back and forth between Lara and another dude/dudes?

Well there is no better way to keep a new man then to get pregnant. Usually if possible with his baby or whoever else you are fucking will do if necessary. This works every time, unless your new babies daddy likes quiet and step child gets in the way he may end up in jail and you will have one less child. Do not fret you can have another with new man asap.

ok for all of those who just go on about the babies mother n family…u all shouldn’t suggest or even know what happened to make such comments..
for one he got in the home without her permission he stole her keys.
next the broken arm was taken care of and was blamed on the HIS son “alyssa’s brother” while under the care of his fucking mother n family. While the mother was working to care for her CHILDREN so NO she did not suffer in pain without being taken to the hospital that same day.N yes cps investigated the situation as did the police and by them it was determined to have been the brothers fault…so i just wanted to shut some people up.n another thing her first baby was not abused as u all already investigated the whole fucking thing why couldn’t u all find out she was born with birth defects and had nothing to do with ABUSE. N as for the mother she had nothing to do how the fuck r u to know that ur ex bf who is not suppose to enter ur home without permission was gonna do a tragic thing like that. Wow. Am I the only one who sees some holes in this story? If he broke in then who was watching the baby and where were they when he suffocated the baby? Also that really doesn’t answer the question of the baby’s broken arm, as the article says the broken arm was badly healed and if they had sought medical attention then that wouldn’t be the case.

Ok first of all maybe you could stop swearing so much as it makes you seem very uneducated. First, of all “fucking asleep” sounds like very dull sex to me.
Second, these text-message posts show the limits of this style of writing. I’m very confused.
So, he was not allowed in the home. He stole the mom’s keys. He broke into the home, WHILE the family was home. But little Alyssa was crying. So he smothered her in the bed immediately adjacent to where the mom lay sleeping. But then the police questioned him and he couldn’t answer what happened to her. Then, all of a sudden, he confessed to smothering her.
It doesn’t make sense. Unless, as our articulate friend Noneofyabiz says, the baby never cried and he simply broke in to kill the baby. Weirder things HAVE happened, to be sure, but I’m not really buying it.
I think we need to find the affadavit/police report to know whether the media has it wrong or not…

I guess Ebonics is the source of gangsta slang and grammar. Don’t know if there has been any studies of this. I think the abbreviations come from the difficulty of typing on little machines and an insatiable need to replace the effort of creativity with mere novelty. Dang, I go in for a little machete to the jaw, and when I get out, lookit what came to visit.
So, okay, I checked it out. And here’s what I got from Sheriff Omar Lucio’s people: Lara stated that “when he got home that night the child was crying and that he put the child face down and put his hand on top of the child’s head and smothered the child.â€
From that, I get the following:
Jessica was either home and not watching the kids (asleep), or she was out and had left the children with someone else. One source I spoke to seems to think she was working and he picked the kids up from daycare and took them home. There was no mention by anyone that Lara broke into the house, and he has not been charged with trespassing, so obviously he still lived in the home.
Either he killed baby Alyssa just for fun, or he killed her because she was crying. It’s a moot point, doesn’t really matter. Either way the baby’s dead.
If Jessica was home, how the hell did she sleep through him coming into the home and into her room and killing her child? If she could sleep through that with children in the house, they’d have died of neglect anyway eventually. A baby being smothered will struggle and make noise trying to breathe. So if he did with the mother right there, that’s even worse than if he did it with her at work.
But while we’re at it, how many kids does Jessica have, and by how many fathers? How old is she? Do you have a Myspace?
