RIVER ROUGE, Mich. — Filipe Garcia was charged with felony child abuse after him and his friends videotaped a 3-year-old child smoking marijuana and cigarettes while they were baby-sitting. Through a plea deal, Garcia received probation.
This plea, which worries investigators, stemmed from authorities not being able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the substance was marijuana. Because of this, the child abuse charge was dropped and the charge changed to a misdemeanor.

This is a disgrace. Really. So a 3 year old smoking cigarretes doesnt qualify as child abuse??? That’s news to me!

Stupidity reings supreme. What about contributing to the delinquency of a minor? Was that the misdemeanor charge?
