Man Charged With Trying To Rape His Stepdaughter And Kill His Wife

A Google search of this dude yields a story from the Times-News in which there are comments posted by the alleged perps sister:

I’m hoping that the mom doesn’t turn out to let her daughter down. So far, she has been a stand up mom willing to risk her own safety for her child’s, a refreshing example. Where this occured is kinda next door – for the most part, people here don’t tolerate that kind of shit at all and are even more unforgiving. Most of the people around here will be fighting each other to see who gets him first. Still, a little vigilantee justice lives in this area. As, I am hoping this will be the case.

I think the mom may just do the right thing and kick his ass to the curb, after all she didn’t help or watch or try to cover it up. So far.

I don’t know what interview the alleged sister-in-law watched, I would like to see it myself. He forced the 17 year old onto the bed with a knife – I think that kinda rules out her willingness. I guess, she could have been dressed a little too provocative, to be around him – someone will try to make it her fault, I’m sure. I just hope it doesn’t turn out to be the mom or someone else in her family. I pray they both get all of the support they need.

Police arrived and Valeris was taken to the hospital where she was admitted for observation. Rector had a brief standoff with police before finally surrendering. He was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder, especially aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault and attempted aggravated rape. His bond was set at $85,000.

Only $85,000 – for a double person felonys (4 all together 2 victims) – pretty sorry on the court system’s part – this will inflame the natives – possibly he will make bail, but not his court date, with any luck. This is why “vigilantee” still lives in our area – the courts suck.

It was a story of a small missouri town that was terrorized by this one really bad guy and they finally took the law in their own hands and had a town creep shoot. I remember that story with Ken McElroy. It happened in Skidmore, Mo.
I thought it seemed wrong that the townspeople ganged up on this guy and shot him multiple fucking times. Yes, this guy was a bad man, but that doesn’t mean a bunch of people should of shot him up. I thought we lived in a country where we used police officers and court systems to deal with fucks like Ken.

There was only 1 State Police in the area and he covered 40 square miles and could not get there in time to catch this guy in anything. I don’t blame the town a bit and it seemed the only answer to protect the citizens. I think it would have been better to do it in private and bury him and not tell anyone but everyone was so afraid of him that they decided to gang up. Worked out well for everyone and no harm done. HA! I like to sing that song “another one bites the dust” when I hear about the unfortunate deaths of demon spawn. Makes my soul comforted.

I know this man very well and I told everyone about him but no one not one person wanted to listen to me this did not happen over night this has been going on for a very long time he abused me and my children but I was brave enough to get out and I was not ashamed to tell everyone about him but his family called me a liar and would not believe me I had 2 pregnancy by this man only one sucided the other I miss carried because of him now maybe someone will open their eyes to see I was telling the truth the hole time. His son will be 16 this year and he is behind in child support he has not tried to see him I had to make the arrangments the last time he seen him and that has been 7 years wow what a man yeah right a peace of crap. Then as to calling the Kingsport Police station and leaving my name and number on several accounts since finding this out I have not received a call or anything. This man made out with his step sister in our home when she was around 14 and her mom and his dad knew it but nothing was ever said then after we split up him and her got together boy taling about a real Jerry Springer and no one cared or nothing.

A second aggravated assault charge was dismissed as part of a plea deal.

But then Rector wrote a letter asking the judge if he could waive that Nov. 24 probation hearing. “I do not wish to be placed on probation,” he said. He told the judge he wanted to go on to the Tennessee Department of Corrections and “get my time over with.”

Mmmm, Must have been frightened of the “redneck” vigilantes!
