Tiffany Fraser Shows Son How To Cook

AIRMONT, N.Y. (AP) — Tiffany Fraser, 26, (pictured left) has been arrested for stuffing her 7-year-old son in a hot oven as punishment for losing a cell phone. She pleaded not guilty to second-degree assault, a felony, in Village Court. She previously had been charged with a misdemeanor in the case. Also charged in connection to the incident is Joelle M. Lherisson, 37, (right) the child’s day care provider. She was charged with a misdemeanor count of failure to report child abuse. She has pleaded not guilty. Her license to operate a day care facility at her house has been revoked by the state.
When burns on the boy’s arm legs and nose were noticed by Lherisson she asked what happened. The boy told her that her mother had stuck him in an oven. Lherisson then called the mother who actually verified the story. Lherisson never reported the abuse. Her daycare was also being investigated for a child endangerment issue that police have not released details on. Fraser’s twin sons were removed by the Family Court in NovemberNovember reviews
and placed with a foster family under the auspices of Rockland Child Protective Services. Thanks for the heads-up, WryBread!

And what need, may I ask, does a 7 year old have of a cell phone? 7 year olds are not out cruising the mall or having movie parties with their friends. They are not going on sports trips for school. They should not be ANYWHERE unsupervised by an adult. 7 year olds lose shit. Hence, there is no need for a 7 year old to HAVE a cell phone. Stupid ass bitch! I hope she fries in hell…literally.

Ok, exactly how big is this kid and how big is this lady’s oven?
I can’t fit my 5 year old in my oven and I have a BIG ASS oven! You know, one of those things that are made for people that actually LIKE to cook and entertain? (It came with the house.) I mean seriously. I can fit alot of stuff in there, but even removing all the racks, I don’t think she can fit in there. Maybe I’m not trying hard enough…

I’ve read that parents nowadays give their 7 year olds cell phones. My reaction is the same as yours — why would a 7 year old be in a situation that requires a cell phone? It seems to have become a status symbol among the little, little ones, so everyone begs for one like a Bratz doll.

My son is 13. The only reason he has a cell phone is because he BETA tested a new service and we liked it, it costs me only about 10 dollars a month to keep active, no service contract, I can render it useless any time I like by blocking his service, and i specify the numbers he can make calls to and recieve calls from…which is all family and the one friend who he hangs out with on Saturdays. Gives him the ability to call home for a ride instead of me having to wonder, or ask every time I drop him off somewhere. Also gives him the security of having a way to contact me if he ends up in a situation that makes him uncomfortable. But as I said…he is 13, and he is just now getting involved in social situations away from home. No one younger NEEDS a cell phone in my opinion.

My son has had a cell since he was eight. It’s pay as you go, cheap, and usually it lives on the charger. But if he leaves the house without me except for school, that phone goes with him. It has GPS enabled – you can do that on nearly all cells now – and this way, he has a way to reach me. If he’s playing in the yard with friends and can’t hear me calling out the window, i can phone him. If he is at a friend’s house, he can call to let me know when he gets there and when he is leaving to come home.
If something happened and someone pulled a Devlin on him, he’d have the phone, and we could have the GPS signal on it located even if he couldn’t get to it. Both my kids have their phones set up that way, and it’s just a nice added security that’s well worth the occasional minute overage.
He’s eleven now and has never lost the phone, but that’s sheer luck.

I have a confession to make… I have always felt the same as you guys, that I dont understand why a young child would need a cell phone. I didnt even have a pager till I was like, 17! BUT, I recently gave my 7 year old my brother’s old cell phone. The reason is that my mom picks him up from school while I’m at work. This year, for whatever reason, she has forgotten to pick him up not once, not twice, but THREE fucking times!!! My kid was scared and didnt know what to do. And I am super over-protective, so I was just livid. After the third time, I realized that more likely than not she is going to forget again. So I have my son keep the cell phone in his backpack, and he knows how to speeddial me, so in case it happens I can stay on the phone with him and tell him to go to the office, and at the same time call my mom and tell her to go get him (I work an hour away from the school, so I cant get there quick). So he has it for that, or sometimes we arrange for him to go home from school with his friend and his grandma, so he calls me when he gets there so I know for sure he made it there ok.
Oh, and I am fully aware that he might lose it, that doesn’t bother me. It’s just a cheapie Razor, and I have insurance on it. Also, there are prepaid phones that I’ve seen through Tracfone that costs $15. If a kid loses that, that isnt a big loss. I agree that this lady is stupid for expecting him not to lose it, AND of course her form of punishment is sick.

See, now that is different. Your child has a real need for the phone. My big beef with this sicko bitch is that she punished him for losing it. If I gave a child that young a cell phone, I would almost expect them to lose it at some point. My son’s phone is a prepaid service, but we don’t have to go out and buy minutes cards. We pay 35 cents a day for the service and 10 cents a minute for calls. when the money runs out, the phone doesn’t work. They will hold his number for 90 days after the wallet goes dry, so if I’m broke one month and don’t have the extra money, I don’t have to worry about a contract on the phone. Plus, if it gets lost, oh well, they gave us the phone free for testing the service and he knows it will be his responsibility to pay for a replacement.

Yeah, kids lose their mittens, hats, shoes, books, jackets. Can it be expected that they’ll lose their cell phone? Yeah. My parents offered to buy me a cell phone because my neighbors are showing signs of craziness. I thanked them, but said I’d probably be killed while looking for the darned phone! And at any rate, the room that I will barricade myself in is the one that has my landline anyway!

I have my bachelors degree from University at Buffalo and own my own business with my husband! I live in NY and I have travelled through most of the US as well as Canada.
