Hopefully he didn’t really do that to his babies, but the world as it is and the sick people inhabitating it, he probably did. What a sick freak, and what a cold, horrifying ending for the children.

The thought of him throwing those babies off of a bridge is too much for me to bear. I can’t think of one smart ass comment to make.
    He is pure fucking evil.

Since they didn’t find anything, maybe if this is a revenge thing – he is telling police that he did those things to punish the mom.

Dear Lord, I pray he has those children hid somewhere with a relative. Surely he didn’t toss all four kids of a bridge. DAMN DOUBLE DAMN!!!

Why do men more often than women seem to lose all feeling for their children once there is a divorce? It’s as if the kids become the wife’s property. Do you think in such marriages the ex-husband never had much feeling for the kids in the first place or perhaps the wife never let him have much of a relationship? How is it that a guy will try to avoid paying child support for his own children’s food and clothing?

I’m not putting down men because there are many wonderful fathers. But I have noticed that it more often seems to be the fathers who detach emotionally from the kids and make them pawns in the post-divorce game. Anyone have any insight into this?

I am afraid he did it. Look how close together in age these kids were. That’s strange nowadays. I think there must be something more to this story. Poor little babies hurling through the air to smack onto the water. Revenge? Horrible.

Wry, I really dont know why, but you are absolutely right. It may sound sexist to say it, but I call it like I see it. Many many fathers detach from their kids after a divorce, and some who get remarried and have more kids treat those completely different than the ones from a prior marriage. I hate to admit it, but my mom’s father is guilty of this. He has a daughter from a previous marriage, who he barely saw or supported after he remarried my grandma. He acted like my mom, her brother, and her sister were the only kids he had. Not too long ago he was in the hospital, and his daughter from his first marriage said that she wouldnt visit him, and that she swears on her life that when he dies, she won’t care one bit. My mom says she doesnt blame her.

There is no punishment suitable for this piece of shit. WHERE IS THE MOTHER??? Why is he waiting for his kids to be returned, one that is not even his. I need to know the whole story. I am out of my mind thinking of those babies being tossed off that bridge. I wish i could have him in a room for a few days. He should dipped in a vat of boilng oil a 1/2 inch at time over course of few days. The devil will soon have his way with him. It’s just a crying shame that this country of our will put this animal him on trial an jail him at our expense. He’s not worth the shit under a shoe!!! Those babies are in heaven now getting their angel wings. That’s the only consolation i could get out of this.

That is so, so sad solange822001. But I am also afraid my son will be the same toward his sperm donor. Very different, in the fact that, he has not had anymore kids — he just doesn’t give a cat’s ass about the ones he already brought into this world. :(

My personal past asshat, signed away his parental rights in LITERALLY under 2 minutes, just to keep from paying child support. Our son turned out to be allergic to cigerettes – the ex wouldn’t stop smoking around him after 6 doctor letters — YES that’s right 6 letters from the doc – not just me telling him, the family doc and the allergist.

But knowing what a POS he is – I decided that my son was not going back to see him – (After the last visit the ex had with my son, I had to lay in an oxygen tent with my son (to keep him in the tent) for a couple of days.). That was it!!!!

So, knowing him like I did, I knew what did matter to him – the wallet. I tallied the grand total of child support and presented the POS with the figure he would pay me, if he never got a pay raise and our son did not go to college. After my lawyer presented him and his attorney the “hand written” proposal, they stepped into a private room – I checked the clock 10:35 – before it was 10:37 the two came out of the door. His attorney handed my attorney the SIGNED DOCUMENT. :(

The judge couldn’t believe it either and ask “Mr. xxxxx did you even read that proposal, you know it was just an offer you are not required to accept it. Did your attorney explain that to you?” The ex indicated that he knew full well what he was signing and what it meant. Even, then, the judge still tried to give him time to change his mind. He told him that he would not accept that document today. That he had 30 days to reconsider and set a court date. The POS didn’t even show up when the 30 days were up. Still the judge wouldn’t finalize it. My attorney had to contact his attorney and make sure that this is what he wanted.

Now, if that doesn’t show someone in authority, that the ex had no love for his child, I don’t know what would. And yet it was all the judge could do to allow him to give up his rights. And stated that had it not been my idea that he wouldn’t have accepted it. The judge said something like, “…..You just can’t bring a child into this world and not take care of it. You have responsibilities…..” Well the judge was set on him keeping his parental rights even after he made it painfully clear how little he felt for our child. Why did the system want him to be a victim first? That’s just horseshit – twice over.

Thepooh, I am so sorry, I cant believe that judge. I am in a similar situation, kind of. My son hasnt seen his dad since he was less than a year old, so does not remember him at all. When my son was 8 months old, his dad broke into my house and choked me, got 10 years in prison, and my son has no idea. He always asks me why he doesnt have a dad, and the only thing I could think of to tell him is that he does, that his dad loves him very much, but he lives too far away to come visit. Little does he know his dad is in a prison only a 30 minute drive from us. His dad has always loved him, but the fact is that he is crazy and unpredictable and I am scared to allow him to have contact with my son. He writes him letters and tries to call, but I dont answer the phone or give the letters to my son. Sometimes I fear that I am making a big mistake, but I have no one to turn to for advice. I dont know how to handle this situation.

“Crazy and unpredictable” defines many of the “fathers” we read about on this very site. These types of “fathers” often victimize the children in order to fuck with the mother and you see the tragic results regularly in the headlines. It sounds like you are handling your situation exactly right. This is about the safety of you and your child. Dude turned in his “father” card and any rights and privileges the minute he did you harm. Period.

Okay with this case and the case in DC I am really starting to think that there are people that need to be screened before being around of having kid’s of any kind. My dad was the same way as this jerk doing stuff to me and my sister and then getting some pleasure out of how upset my mom got. That didn’t last too long before thry finally got divorced and I hadn’t seen his ass in 16 years….I say a prayer for the little one’s that couldn’t get away in time…

solange822001 – I too am so sorry for your mess. I think, if your son is still fairly young, you are doing the right thing. I would save the letters for you son, when he is an adult. I come from a broken home and my mom denied me some things to me regarding my dad – he never tried to kill her. One example is I could have gone to the beach for a week when I was about 10. The trip included my paternal grandparents, which I only saw limitedly. Soon after, they past – I never got to vacation with them or did not get to see the ocean until I was adult. She would not let me go because she knew he would be drinking at the beach. Yes, I said drinking – not laying drunk. She had an alcoholic abusive father She believed she was doing what was best – I resent her decision. There was not a good reason to keep me from going to the beach – he drank at home. She said I can’t keep him from seeing you at his home, the court says he has rights, but I don’t have to let him take you that far away. The court ordered only provided 1 weekend a month for my dad to visit. So that is the only times she had to let me see him and that is only when I saw him. Once in a while, if I begged or on Superbowl Sunday I could stay till the game was over. I never spent on extra day with my dad that wasn’t court ordered – because he drank. He was not a drunkard or alcoholic – just wanted to have a cold beer once in a while. She is really wrapped about even one drink. I don’t resent her, just some of her decisions. I know her heart was trying to do the right thing.

As for the calling, I probably wouldn’t take the calls. If I may ask, how old is you son now? Later, when he’s older, you are gonna have to answer some of these hard questions. My ex is not in jail – but may as well be on the moon. My son is 16 – so we have had the hard talk. It was so hard telling him the truth of “why” he doesn’t have a dad. But a kid has a right to know about their fathers. You still do not have to allow contact with your child, for now. But keep those letters for him later. He will resent you for not giving him the chance to decide. And when he is older he may want to take a call.

Pooh and Solange – I’m very sorry about both your situations – although I did not grow up with The Brady Bunch myself. I agree with you, Pooh, and think Solange’s son has a right to make his own decisions regarding his father, when he reaches adulthood.

One other example for you to consider solange – When my son started school – he saw kids with both parents. He wanted to know who his dad was and to see him. Well, first thought was no way. Then I had to put my son’s feelings first. I didn’t matter how much I hated the ex and how undeserving he was. It mattered to my son. He needed to know.

So after much lost sleep and worry, I worked it out with my brother to take my son to see the POS if I could get in touch with him.

I talked to the POS and without any long story – he did not want to see his son – even though it had been over 4 years since he had any contact. My mom and brother told me that I would just have to tell my son that his dad didn’t love him and wasn’t coming. Bull shit! That POS may have been the one actually hurting my son, but I was gonna be the one looking him in the eyes and telling him that. I dreaded telling him, I secretly hoped he would just forget about it. He didn’t.

When my son brought it up again, I told him that I knew his dad had the message. My son’s eyes lit up and he asked, what did he say? what did he say? All I could do was tell those little eyes that his dad would let us know, when he could. He never came and my son drew his own conclusion.

I didn’t go through that for the ex or myself – only because my son needed some answers about his dad. And one more thing – no one has ever been allowed to talk down about my son’s father to him or around him where he could hear. Everyone told me just how sorry my dad was – and they weren’t lying. But when you’re a child, comments like that don’t hurt the POS parent, they only hurt the child who is still giving their unconditional love to an undeserving parent.

Kudo’s to you for being so conscious to your son’s feelings. I hope that you can find a good answer. I’ll be praying that you find a good solution for you and your son – not the ex.

    Here’s a little more detail:

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) – Authorities in Alabama say a duck hunter is who found the body of 1 of 4 children allegedly thrown from a coastal bridge by their father.

The father (Lam Luong) has been charged with capital murder in the deaths. A search of waterways for the children began Tuesday.

Authorities say the discovery gives hope that the other three bodies will be recovered. He says a chaplain informed the children’s family of the discovery this morning.

Earlier this week, a district attorney said the father had confessed to investigators that he had thrown the children off the bridge after an argument with his wife. But the father later recanted and claimed two Asian women took the children Monday and never returned them.

If convicted, he could be sentenced to death or life in prison without parole.

A link to an article. A duck hunter found the one child. The police never did believe Luong’s change of story in which he said 2 asian woman had taken the children. There was a witness who saw him on the bridge with the babies. And a second witness who saw him leave the bridge without them. Poor little babes.

This POS was so bent on making his wife suffer that he killed 4 perfectly innocent little kids that were HIS and did it in one of the most heartless and cruel ways possible. Drowning is an awful way to die. They probably had no idea what was happening.

That’s on our local news, It happened in our area….the guy is a Meth head ( for 15 years) and he took the children away from his wife and wouldn’t let her see them, It took her telling him a lie, saying she only had one year to live, that she was going to die so he then acted as if he were going to bring them to her, but killed them instead…

He stated that he was going to throw himself over the bridge too , but wanted to see his wifes’ face…..the pain. So he stuck around. He’s a mother- fucker….

as the state was selecting the jury, the father wrote a letter to the Judge and said I am guilty, please give me the DP and make it quick.
so that put everything on a stand still…..

then one week later, his lawyer said he didn’t mean what he said and now the jury pool was tainted, and they want a request to move the trail to another location…

They had one witness that said he was traveling across the bridge and saw this van pulled over, a guy leaning over a rail throwing a trash bag over….he said…he slowed down and was going to say something to him about littering….but saw he had some kids iin the van and didn’t want to make a scene, and as he drove by a little girl with pig-tails smiled at him…
He was throwing them over in trash bags….

MOBILE, Ala. – A judge upheld a jury’s recommendation and sentenced Lam Luong to death by lethal injection for murdering his four children by throwing them off the Dauphin Island Bridge. Before the sentencing Luong turned to his wife Kieu and said he was sorry.

Judge Graddick upheld that recommendation, but he took it a step further. During sentencing he ordered that Luong must be shown pictures of his children every day for the rest of his life.

    I love Judge Graddick!!
    Hell is waiting Lam Luong….
