MILWAUKEE — When Anne Gordon, 75, refused to give her step-grandson, Eric Henry, 30, any money for an abortion his girlfriend needed, he became angry and bound her hands and feet before he duct taped a plastic bag over her head. Before he put tape over Gordon’s mouth and nose, she was on the floor asking the Lord to forgive him for what was about to happen. Gordon was asphyxiated. She was also the pastor of St. Anne’s Cathedral Holy Church of Deliverance on Milwaukee’s northwest side. She started the church 19 years ago, but members say they will continue as normal.

    At 30 years old, having to ask your grandmother for money to get your girlfriend an abortion??? That alone has WINNER written all over it. Then to kill an old lady who is FORGIVING you as you kill her.

    note: a neighbor went to take her to a medical treatment and found her body
    That was my first thought too geeeesh 30 yrs old and $300 measly dollars.
    Guess the g/f is dirt poor too – I’m thinking another 16 yr old ! or could it be drug money? he told the grandmother he needed it for pertunity test. Then told police for an abortion.

    sounds to me its capitol murder and should be the death penety as he came back with a helper and duct tape. defenseless old woman :S

    But the funeral is being held at Gordon’s funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Redeemer Church of God in Christ, 3500 W. Mother Daniels Way.

    Anne Gordon moved from Mississippi to Milwaukee during the 1950s, her son Ray Gordon said. She was divorced and had two sons. She worked on the assembly line at Johnson Controls for over 30 years and retired when she was 62, ready to give her religious interests full-time attention, Ray Gordon said.

    About 20 years ago, she founded St. Anne’s Cathedral Holy Church of Deliverance at N. 58th and W. Burleigh streets on Milwaukee’s west side. She also helped start a ministerial organization that tended to the religious needs of prisoners. Ray Gordon said his mother also founded a second church in Madison.
