- Oh Lord. Here is a great one for all you parents of young children. A 4-year-old girl was playing on a jungle gym located in a Phoenix park. Her family were only 30-feet away. That was far enough for registered sex offender, William Speed, 35, to earn his name. He partially removed his clothes and the girl’s clothes before the family heard her screaming. The family was able to fight the man off of the girl and hold him down until police arrived. It was a random attack and William, who is reportedly homeless, was charged with sexual conduct with a minor. Authorities said the attack bore close resemblance to a 1995 attack on a 7-year-old girl that sent SpeedSpeed reviews to prison for nearly 12 years.

It’s sad, but this shit doesn’t even surprise me anymore. It must makes me sick. Apparently, if it’s the same dude as in the 1995 incident, 12 years wasn’t long enough.

I just re-read that article. Her family was only 30 feet away hand this prick was able to pull this off? That’s not too far away. How could they not notice what she was doing at all time, (or obviously what was being done TO her).

Kudos to the family for being able to restrain themselves from killing the POS – if they had they would have served a lot more time for protecting their child than he would for assaulting her. BULLSHIT and DAMN AND DOUBLE DAMN!!

pms.247 they probably thought it was o-kay to turn there head. Hence his name Speed. That’s just amazing. It just goes to prove that even shit happens to careful parents and their children. Sick bastard. 1995-2007 = 12 years how long had the POS been out – boy he was rehabilitated wasn’t he.
Ole Speedy is more proof of why certain convictions should ALWAYS carry a death sentence!!!!

pms.247 Perhaps the park was full of kids, or there were other people there they that they were talking to, diverting their attention. Thank goodness he was stopped and this little girl was spared permanent physical or mental damage. Right on for a happier ending than most.

Probably, Pooh, but to think of that happening to your child when you were right there…it doesn’t sound like they were all that careful of parents.
I’ve made my share of mistakes raising my children, as we all have, but none of them were ever out of my sight in public places. It’s just common sense.
That little girl will have a hard time with trust issues.

pms.247 – that’s a little harsh – what if you and I had our kids at the park – we could have looked down to our napsacks and been getting snacks out for the kids while “Ole Speedy” came along. 30 ft is pretty close and pretty safe – some peoples family rooms are 30 ft. I don’t think they were being careless and I must of missed where she was out of their site – I think they weren’t sitting there staring straight at their child – which would be an unrealistic expectation. I think they were in view of the jungle gym and “Ole Speedy” slipped in.
What a loser desparate POS – I guess after 12 yrs he had an itch to scratch – that is why being a proven, convicted pedophile should be executed. I am not saying there are not any – but how many of us can name one successful rehabilation case regarding pedophiles, anyone? I sure can’t.

I don’t know warrman69 – I guess I would go with the “batshit crazy” one on this guy – you do have a good point — straight out to public, in broad daylight, and even if the girls parents weren’t directly in sight how many other people were? – It does make you ask the question of did he want to go back? Lots of criminals do re-offend, especially when they have been there a long time – they don’t have a place or know how to function in the outside world, but they are “somebody” in the pen, (the joke that is). Still others I think, because its warm, dry, and 3 meals a day and they just don’t want to have to take care of themselves, they are on a routine, no bills just eat, shit, and sleep.
I don’t know – its just so sad that the girl had to experience the incident period. Why didn’t he just step out in front of a train or something?

i would’ve KILLED this guy w/o hesitation, if it was my kid… the cops themselves would have to pry me off him….
even getting his & her clothes off was probably so so traumatic for this poor kid…
will it take a politician’s kid to get raped/murdered/molested before laws get tougher!!!!????

EXACTLY – me too!!! That’s why I said kudos to the parents for their reserve – better people than I am. The little girl will need them around the help her deal not in jail. I’m not saying that is what my mind would have been capable of doing – but in the best interest of the child – my hat is off to them.

Miss Hill, I agree with you to a certain extinct. I believe mandatory castration should be in place for male habitual molesters, shit one time is too much of a habit right there.
I hate to “profile” or “judge” people but part of my nurses training was assessing patients from head to toe, I tend to do that with everyone. (bad habit) Is it just me or does this guy look gay? Have any of his priors with children, been with males. Man, he such a strange look on his face. I see him with make-up on, god I must not be stoned enough. lol
