5 Dead In Two Different Church Shootings; Possible Link
December 10, 2007 by Morbid

Colorado – Before I was able to finish a post I was making in regards to the gunman walking into a Youth Ministry facility and opened fire, reports of the shooting a New Life Church hit the news. I decided to wait and see if there was any type of connection before actually posting about it. It is now Monday morning and while there hasn’t been an official statement in regards to the two shooting incidents being related, investigators are looking. Police Chief Don Wick, asked whether he believed there was reason to think the shootings are related, responded, “Yes, there is reason to believe that.”

Philip and Tiffany
The first shooting happened in Arvada when a gunman shot four staff members at a missionary training center near Denver early SundaySunday reviews
, killing two, after being told he couldn’t spend the night. WitnessesWitnesses reviews
said the gunman spoke to several staff members, asking to spend the night. After a 30-minute discussion grew heated, he was turned away. When a staff member asked for help from others to usher him out, the gunman pulled out a handgun and began shooting. 26-year old Tiffany Johnson and Philip Crouse, 23 died of their injuries. Witnesses state he was a 20-year-old white male wearing a dark jacket and skull cap and left on foot.
About 12 hours later and 105 kilometres away, a gunman opened fire in the parking lot of New Life Baptist church as church-goers were leaving the 11:00 service, killing four. When he tried to enter the crowded church (I love this part), he was gunned down by an armed security guard. Teenage sisters, Stephanie Works, 18, and Rachel Works, 16 were both killed. A David Works, 51, was in fair condition with gunshot wounds in his abdomen and groin area.Witnesses stated he was dressed in combat boots and a dark coat, brandishing a rifle and a handgun.

Somebody should give that security guard a goddamn medal. The gunman would have been shooting fish in a barrel had he made it into that building.
I have heard reports that the security guard was a female. Anyone confirm that? Not that it is amazing, as chicks can shoot guns, but still interesting.

Jesus christ, definitely! Wow. I think every security guard should have a gun. I cant wait to hear more about this

“Is Jesus…LAUGHING???” LMAO, Kathy. Somebody done told him one funny ass joke.
I was wondering this kid went to the first place and needed a place to sleep and they wouldn’t let him? This was some kind of a “christian place” and they turned him away? I mean did this kid “really” need a place to go and was refused help?
Not saying that if that happens go and shot the fuckers up, but I’d like to know more about this kid’s situation.
And yeah if it wasn’t for the security guard using quick thinking a whole lot of folks may have died that day. Wow.

He was turned away at the first place because they felt that something about him just wasn’t right. well…obviously. have we confirmed that there were 7 fatalities? Good Morning America said 5 this morning, including the gunman. I know a total of 4 were shot at the place in arvada. Did they die?

I changed the death total. Another site jumped the gun I guess. The two killed at New Life were sisters, Stephanie Works, 18, and Rachel Works, 16. A David Works, 51, was in fair condition with gunshot wounds in his abdomen and groin area. They have not stated if he was related to the girls, but well, what are the odds?

Confirmed that the security guard is a female member of the church. The weapon was her own personal weapon. She approached the gunman and killed him after he had gotten no more than 50ft inside the church.

Good for her!
It’s one thing for people to carry guns around. It’s another thing for them to actually have the courage to use it and shoot to kill. she definitely deserves an award.

This is something Im starting to change my mind about. I used to think that people shouldnt be allowed to carry guns. But with all these shootings lately, having a citizen be able to take them down on the spot saves many lives. I mean, this is a PERFECT example. Like Morbid said, if she hadnt taken him down, he could have could a dozen more people!

I don’t know what the world is coming to when it’s not safe anymore to go to a mall in broad daylight or to church on Sunday morning. SHEESH!!
