Like everyone already said it just make the baby cry more. My daughter just turned one and she was 6 weeks early and had massive digestive problems, the poor thing had such bad gas all of the time. She screamed and screamed and than screamed some more. I never wanted to shake her because I knew that she was in pain, but there where a couple of times I almost lost it. It does get to you after you have gotten no sleep for a week, that is why my wife and I would take turns with her. I would sleep with the baby and my wife would sleep in the tv room and than we would switch, but a couple of times we would both just go into the other room and let her cry herself to sleep. The thing is once you have done something like this you can't take it back, so do yourself a favor and leave the room. I just don’t understand why people do this. We moved here to get out of my hometown of Denver - away from the drugs, violence, gangs, etc., but they are all here, too. Now we are thinking about heading back West. We'll never escape it.
