Heather Kohler Loves Crack; Hates Her Daughter

BROWNSTOWN, Pa. – Heather Kohler, 20, left her 15-month old baby in the care of Alexander Zack, 19, while she went out to buy crack. This was after they both smoked crack and ingested crushed Percoset. At some point during the nine hours she was gone, the baby ended up falling down 14 steps where it laid at the bottom, unconscious. Zack did what any concerned person would do, and bit the baby on the arm. He also opted to not call 911 until Heather came back home. The baby had to be flown to the hospital suffering bleeding on the brain.
Now get this, this isn’t the first time the baby had injuries. The infant had fell down the stairs once before, and two weeks ago, the baby had suffered a burned finger from Zack’s cigarette. In neither of those two cases was the baby taken to the hospital. Both Alexander Zack and Heather Kohler are charged with several crimes including endangering the welfare of children.
Now this is what gets to me the most. Neighbors said that they hated to hear what happened, but they were not surprised. Have we gotten to this point? Are people too scared to step in, or have people quit caring? I have to believe it is the former. All I know is that when I was growing up, it was not uncommon for a neighborhood mom to spank you for screwing up, watch your mother thank her, then depending on what was done, get another from her as well.

Wow, Heather looks FUCKED UP. Damn, sister. Give that baby up for adoption, or give some one custody for now, and get your shit cleaned up. Your damn lucky that baby didn’t die. What’s wrong with neighbors? All it takes is dialing three goddamn numbers 9-1-1. I guess I’m a nosy fucker, because when I lived in an apartment complex, and shit would go down, I’d either go to the apartment where I once heard a kid screaming it’s head off, or I’d call the cops. Better to be safe than sorry. What happened to people actually giving a shit about their brethren?

i had my first child when i was barely 20 (417, yep), but it oddly never occurred to me that i could:
a) leave her home with a boyfriend for ten minutes, much less nine hours;
2.) get high while caring fro said child (or any other time, because i was all straight edge back in the day);
x.) not put up a barrier to keep the toddler from falling down the stairs;
or
42.) bite her in the arm to see if she’s awake.
Clearly my crativity meter was running low.

Even had this been reported a child at that age slips through the cracks because of the accident prone nature of that age. Sad but true.
