Charity Bailey Murdered Her Daughter; Likes To Breed

INDIANAPOLIS — One month after being placed back in the custody of her biological mother, 3-year-old Tajanay Bailey was dead. She had been beaten and tortured to death by her mother, Charity Bailey and her boyfriend Lawrence Green, both 20. Over the course of Thanksgiving week, while you spent time with family and friends, they are accused of hanging Tajanay in a closet for wetting herself, kneeing Tajanay in the head, punching her in the chest and whipping her with a belt. Police said they and paramedics were called to Bailey’s apartment, an apartment that was in squalor, after Tajanay stopped breathing. The girl was pronounced dead at a hospital about 30 minutes later.
Tajanay had been in with a foster mother, Janice Springfield, for most of her life. Tajanay’s foster mother warned the state’s child welfare system that the girl would be in danger in Bailey’s custody. The girl and her 6-month-old brother had been removed from Bailey twice before. Once for medical neglect, and a second time for child abuse. Regardless, she was removed from Janice and placed back with Bailey who was about to lose them both again after she failed a drug test. The Indiana Department of Child Services is now reviewing the caseworkers’ handling of Tajanay. Bailey and Green were both charged with murder and neglect and are both blaming the other. Bailey’s 6-month-old son was placed into state custody and prosecutors want the same thing to happen to Bailey’s unborn baby as well. That’s right, she’s pregnant again.

Oh my god, I found this article on TaJanay, and it talks about the CASA program. It talks about what action needs to be taken to stop this. It also mentions that social services had given TaJanay back to her mom for a “trial stay”, and that a doctor determined that she had been abused. Yet, they sent her back once again. What is the point of a “trial” then?????

Here is a question-why did the egg donor want her children back at all, or did she? They must have been forced back on her…I mean come on. Clearly she had no interest in sustaining the life she was giving. Perhaps she should simply be given the opportunity to reproduce beautiful children and then they can be given away to people who have none and would love them. Hey now-that is an idea…perhaps some of these women can be used for child production ala The Handmaids Tale, and their off spring can be given to appropriate families. Just like dairy cows, when their uterus’ cannot produce anymore, they can be sent to the glue factory. (Did I just write this? I must be sick of these stories…)

Believe909, I read somewhere, and I believe it is 100 percent true, that these type of mothers insist on custody of their kids for the welfare money, which they use to buy their drugs. This particular lady/monster failed a drug test, so I am positive this is the case with her. I received assistance at one point in my life, so I know the way it works. Adults without children do not get much in terms of welfare, but once you have one or more children, you qualify for food stamps, cash assistance, housing, etc. I suppose the intention of this was to help children born into poverty, but as we can see, many times it ends up killing them, due to parents who fight to keep the kids just to keep those checks coming, so they can sit on their lazy fat asses and get high all day. While we, the taxpayers, pay for them to torture their children. Oh, BTW, the more kids you have, the more money you get, which I think contributes to why some of these people pop out as many kids as their body can handle.

I personally think that once it is proven that you have abused your child, it should be manadatory that you should no longer receive ANY public assistance. That would weed out the few parents who might actually give a shit about their kids, from the ones who get their little parenting class certificate just to support their drug habit.

Ya had to go and mention WalMart…didn’t ya? Last time I was there some twat in front of me had two kids who looked like they’d puked all over themselves and she was throwing their cookie crumba out of the basket onto the floor at the check stand. Need I mention that she was dressed to the hilt? All I could thing at the time was “fucking white trash CUNT!” It really pisses me off to see people who take their kids out in public looking like that. I see it as a reflection of their skills as a parent and it makes me wonder what their homes look like.

Hey! I sent the link to this story to you a couple of days ago, Morbid! And Kathy gets all the cred. Hmph.
This story really got to me. Partly, because I have a 3-year old. It always makes it more personal somehow when there’s a link like that. But mostly because this was a known situation. Unlike Riley Sawyers, for example, where there was no known history of abuse, this was a well-known and documented case. The child had been removed from the home before. Her mother is a known addict — hence the drug tests. And she was doing well in her foster home. So, what can we do to totally fuck it up?? I know….let’s put her back with her biological mother and see how long it takes her to be beaten to death.
I’m sorry, but whoever made the call to send her back to that home should be prosecuted as an accessory to murder. There was no reason on earth to put that gorgeous child back into harm’s way when she had a home where people cared for her.
I was in a good mood today. Now I’m pissy again.

Why is it that children from poor families are so much more likely to get kidnapped, abused, or murdered? It seems like 9 out 10 of these children (not all, I know, but the majority) live in either the projects or a trailer.

solange, because of poverty you have a lack of education. Poverty also breeds more poverty and no one cares about the poor. They are less likely to finsh school or to continue to secondary education. Working, single moms with no resources leaving children on their own, too tired to keep up with their kid’s lives. So many reasons and so few people that care or agencies that help.

IMHO…I’m likely to conclude that poor parents have nothing better to do to waste away the day while they collect the welfare check I help create by paying taxes than to sit at their computers and post pictures of their kids on every forum they can find. They create MySpace pages and BLOGS and pretty much tell everyone who has two eyes and can read where to find them. Even seemingly vague comments, such as ‘I live halfway between Utopia and Far Foodle’ can give some sicko a pretty good idea where to stalk you. Logic would tell me that sick murderers, child rapists and just plain old wierdos are policing the internet looking for victims. Just my two cents worth….

I was speaking in terms of those who arekidnapped or murdered by strangers. Could even apply somewhat to the Riley sawyers scenario. Her predator husband stalked and gained control over her through the internet and sucked her into becoming as evil as he.
As for those abusing and murdering their own children….most are probably cases of “It costs too fucking much to take care of you so now I can’t buy my crack/weed/whatever. Oh, and you never fucking shut up!”

I guess there is no simple answer, I just really wonder what the main link is. I know I don’t have proof that most of these kids are poor, but if I were to make a judgement based on what i see on the news, it just seems that way. I guess ignorance and poverty go hand in hand (and I dont mean to offend anyone either, I know not all “poor” people are bad parents). And I use the word poor only for lack of a more politically correct word, my mind is kind of fried right now.

Personally I was raised in a good loving home. My dad was dying of cancer, my mother worked at home, and we had no damn money. Mom made our clothes or went to Goodwill. We were poor, but loved and cared for, taught wrong from right. It’s ignorance and lack of education that make for piss ass parents. The drug addicted teens with kids (and I hate to see people throw in the “weed” there is absolutely no comparison of the affects of marijuana as to cocaine, methamphetamines, herion, crack, ketamine etc..)the uneducated young folks with children, these folks usually aren’t intelligent well read folks, ya know, they can hardly take care of themselves much less their children. I’m not saying all young folks aren’t good caretakers either. My niece got pregnant in high school, she finished school and got married, started working. Ahhh now she’s 28 with two kids and a fantabulous mother.
Education is the key.

At the grocery store I work in there are a lot of poor people whose kids are dirty, and the parents are on something, and they are just screaming and yelling at their kids, talking to them like crap.
But on the same hand, there are some people with lots of money who let their kids wander all over the store while they shop at their leisure and they dont seem to pay any attention to their kids. So, its hard to say that only the poor people are neglectful. I think its just the times we are living in. People are disposable and so are kids. WE just dont value the human life like we once did.

Throughout history, very little value has been assigned to human life, with the exception of the wealthy, powerful, political, and/or religious elite. Everyone else, was there for their convenience/whim. So whether it’s slavery, with its concomitant rapes and murders, or Crusades (same), or Gladiatorial combat (murder and mutilation), or the “cleansing” North America of Native Americans, or any genocide you wanna point a finger at…..bottom line is that human life has always been held to be cheap. Take a look at The Sudan today, or the Rwandan genocide, etc, and you see not much has changed.
If anything, the advent of democracy, which at least stated that “all men are created equal” (whether or not it always treats them that way) introduced true value to all human lives for perhaps the first time in human history. But even if that’s true, it was a pretty recent development for mankind. Sigh.
