  This poor baby had no chance at all. Raped at 9 days old. Mother being beaten while taking her dying baby to the ER 9 days after giving birth. (Though the “I woke up with my bleeding baby on my chest” story sounds fishy to me. Wouldn’t that baby have been SCREAMING???) Holy shit.

  Does anyone know, if they have any news of “who” - since mom “woke up” with the baby on her chest? Was the dad kicking her ass because of what had just happened to his child or was this the norm - since this is charge #3?

  Just to clarify, the father has not been charged with he sexual assault\murder. He is in jail for beating the mother on the way to the hospital with the baby. Officials consider EVERYONE in the home, between the 22nd and 23rd, a suspect.

  My first instinct was that dad did it. Because, hell, why would be be beating the crap out of the mom who was trying to get help for the baby? Two scenarios: he did it and was trying to keep her from getting help; or… she did it and he lost his shit and went berserker on her. And what sucks is that either is plausible. No, what sucks is that this happened at all.

  The only other details that I know that I did not put in the original article are that he grabbed the back of the mother’s head and slapped her in the face and threatened her if something happened to the baby.   Question for clarification - were the 4 adults in the home the mom, dad, and grandparents? or 4 others besides the mom and was one a non-family member?

  It seems, that almost everyone posted on here in some sort of tragedy, was caused by their families or someone the family had around.

  Does anyone but me find it odd that people are hurting their own, more than strangers? I do not understand how people can hurt children at all, they are innocent. How could you hurt your own blood, in such heinous ways? I do not understand, thankfully.   Why the hell are most of these offenders people with previous charges…How about having a one time only charge you do it once you pay..this was his third charge??? I have an idea how about all the pedophiles, rapists, molesters and so on dont get second chances…they get a bullet in the head which would leave room in the prisons for the people that steal, and so on….   What makes this case more sickening in my eyes is the fact that Neveah was a preemie-three weeks early, folks. She should have still been in the safety (?) of her mothers womb rather than being raped and beaten.   farmergurl62…from what I last read on a Detroit news link…the father was being charged with Domestic Abuse, third charge for this crime. He is being held in jail and has a bail set. No one has yet been charged with the babies death, as of yet. I haven’t checked the news this morning, so this might have changed since last night.
  As far as the family. I believe (and by all means someone correct me if I am wrong)the young couple lived with the Aunt and another adult (possibly an Uncle). So that’s the four adults who live in the home.

  Right on Pooh. After six years into my first marriage, my ex tried to use me as his stress reliever. I’m 5′3, and in my early twenties weighed around 130-140. I’ve always been pretty stocky because of growing up on a farm and then working as a nurse, so I wasn’t a lightweight but… He was 5′11 and weighed 220. Big fella….everything around me became a possible defense weapon. Lamps, fry pans, beer bottles, full soda cans….and damn I learned to run like hell. I divorced his ass quickly when he refused to get mental help. I asked that because of exactly what you stated, any normal loving father would have hurt anyone who hurt or allowed someone to hurt his child.I know men are not supposed to hit women and I hate woman beaters as much as anyone - but if he truly was going off over the treatment of his child - I can find no fault to his actions. And would give him a button if I had one - for defending his child, ONLY.

  I know of another sorry bitch - here in NC, in my neck of the woods - about 6-7 years ago that her and her lovely boyfried were burning her 2 yr old with cigeretts - her daddy came over to visit the grandson and found the marks - He couldn’t run down the POS boyfriend to kick his ass - but he did get his hands on his daughter and absolutely thrashed the shit out of her. HURRAY!

  Of course, after she was charged with her abuse charges, she countered with assault on a female charges. When it went to trial, while I don’t remember the exact specifics of what was said, the jist of it was - the judge basically dropped the charges against the bitches dad or something like a $15 -$20 fine - it was nothing. He basically laughed at her for even thinking he would punish her dad for giving her a much needed ass whipping for abusing her child.

  Then, when she went to trial for her charges - the judge or someone set the case someway to where she would appear in front of the same judge. He laid the screws to her and she still does not have custody of her son - THANK THE LORD!!

  Hippie and Pooh, I read a couple different news reports that stated Neveah’s parents lived with his parents. So that would be the 4 adults in the house. But also that since it was over Thanksgiving that there were several people in and out of the house during that time period.

  Also read that tomorrow there would be an announcement of new charges against Christopher. Shit…I had a glimer of hope that it wouldn’t be him considering what was said as he was slapping around Neveah’s mom.   You know, I am always a “just the facts” kind of girl….but for some reason I have a feeling the dad didn’t do it. Maybe something about the anguish he’s shown….maybe something else. I just have a feeling it’s not him. And I never have bizarre “feelings” to which I lend any credence.

  I’ll be interested to see if anything further comes to light on this case.

  Frankly, I’m also not entirely certain how inserting a finger into a rectum necessarily qualifies as a sexual assault…nor how it could cause such massive internal injury. But I’m not sure I want to ponder it any more, so I’ll have to just take it as it was presented for now.

  I think they were saying that a finger was inserted, but they have not stated that this is what caused the injury (although I am sure you could puncture the intestine of a 9-day-infant pretty easily). It’s the fact that the baby died from anal injuries and that they removed a curling iron from the home that just makes me shudder.

  Ruby, Back when I first started in nursing…1983 we took rectal temps on babies. Inserting the thermometer only about a 1/4″ (the tip of the thermometer inserted) this practice was eventually frowned upon and stopped because of the possibility of rupturing the intestine) An infant’s intestine #1 is very fragile and #2 is quite tiny. Think of the size of an old mercury glass thermometer and then imagine a finger or curling iron put in the rectum of a baby. Without a doubt the tear would of happened upon insertion.
  Ruby, I too get this feeling he is not the one. I don’t know. Just a feeling. His mother says he was intoxicated that day, you’d have to be fucked up on some killer alcohol to go do something like that. I just believe him.   Ruby I have to agree wit you something about this case is unsettling to me also either the father is being set up or he is one hellava actor and it seems alfull funny to me that his mother adie green is so quick to point out her son was drunk on the day the assult occured .Now i dont mean for this to sound raciest but I have never met a black woman who did’nt up hold their child no matter what the charge I would like to know a bit more about the granpa was he a step? is the grandma adie green covering for some one the mother stated she was asleep when the assult happened so she really dont know who and personally guilty or not I think he entire family should be charged with her murderas I stated before some one heard that baby screaming and crying but noone got up to check on her ? and i think tht the father was beating the crap out of the mother on the way to the hosp because of the baby being hurt the cops need to give polygraph and other test to all members of the family as well as others who were at the home I mean me and rubu might be wrong but my gut says theres more to the story
