Andrea Maxwell Murdered Her Mother; Has Bad Taste In Men

LEXINGTON, NC – Andrea Christine Maxwell, 17, and her boyfriend Joe Lee Coleman II, 21, are charged with the murder of Andrea’s mother, 47-year-old Judith L. Maxwell. Many reports coming out about this case, as Andrea was an honor student who the family says got involved with wrong guy. Andrea had always gotten along with her parents and had been a good student all her life. She got straight A’s and loved to read and write and play video games, and had been accepted at UNC Greensboro. But friends and family say that all started to change when she started dating Joe ColemanOn her Mysapce page, she goes by “Prophet of Samael” and writes:
I’m 17 and live in Lexington, NC. Can we say one horse town, much? Anyway, most of my hobbies are drawing, writing (I’m currently writing a story about a professional assassin), reading (I’m an artistic person if you can’t tell already), playing video games, and talking on the phone with my boyfriend, Joseph, who I love over anyone in the whole world. He’s one of the only people who understands/tries to understand me and my weirdness, accepts me for who I am, and gives me a reason to love live, which I can never thank him enough for. I am agnostic, bisexual, and am not a religious person in general, so please try not to mention religion around me, if you could, especially christianity [sic]. It makes me rather unhappy ^_^ …
The family said Andrea was told by her parents that her boyfriend was not allowed back into their home. The family says they feared Coleman, and noticed Andrea had changed drastically in the two years she dated him. A missing persons report had been filed previously on an occasion in which Andrea ran off with Joe, only to return a short time later.
“He changed her life for the worst, he drug her down,” said John Maxwell, Andrea’s brother.

, but from that point, no one is quite sure what happened but some type of confrontation occured. Sheriff David Grice said that Judith Maxwell died of multiple stab wounds. According to a search warrant, investigators took two knives, including one wrapped in a cloth, from the living room, four knives in the kitchen, another knife in an upstairs bedroom and two bath towels stained with blood.
“We (investigators) feel like it was a spur-of-the-moment … very much like we don’t know what we’re doing kind of a thing, and we’re sort of making this up as we go,” said Grice at a press conference on SundaySunday reviews afternoon. “We felt like it was a result of a domestic issue,” he said. “There’s not a lot of indication of a struggle. They both participated in the act.”
One side note to this story is the report that on the evening Judith Maxwell’s body was discovered in the bathroom by her husband, Andrea and Joe were upstairs playing video games. When he called out for them to call 911, they laughed at him and threatened him with knives before running out of the house.

Andrea is 17 so she started “dating” this guy at 15. If her parents were afraid of this guy, if they didn’t care for him, why was she allowed to converse with him? (I guess it took two years to figure out this guy was a psychopath?) If my daughter starts that shit on the net when she’s a teen, she’ll be grounded from the using the computer. He would’ve been 19 when she was 15. He’s over 18, shouldn’t have happened. I was allowed to date a 19 year old when I was 15, and well, I know better now.

I think the issue with this story is the fact that this kid, Andrea, was well liked (if a bit twisted…she would have made a great addition here), good grades, honor student sibling in college, one in service, strong family unit, parents married for 20 years…and then this. In the grand scheme of things, two years isn’t that long, and by all accounts, they may not have liked her boyfriend, but she was still performing well in school. Well, at least well enough to have been accepted to college.
The crappy thing is that she is only 17, and in a few years, the reality of what she has done, and for who, is going to hit like a freight train.

What happened to parents having more control over their kids? Too many parents are afraid to be parents and lose control of their kids. Too many kids are calling the shots in their homes. I would not have been allowed to date a 19 year old at the ripe old age of 15! Nip that shit in the bud before it gets out of hand. There are enirely too many out-of-control kids wreaking havoc in the world. As a parent of 2 teenagers this story sickens me!

this is the part of the story that gives me the worst chills. It kind of makes me think that they did not REALLY understand the seriousness of what they had done.

I’ve been friends with one of the brother’s for a very long time. When you read stories like this and you don’t actually know the people involved it’s extremely easy to speculate and make assumptions as to what happened and who is to blame. I’m guilty of it just as much as the next person and you never think someone you know will be the person you read about or watch on the news.
My point is this…
This is a very good family who managed to raise 3 children, 2 of whom are responsible, respectful, kind, caring and adoring of their parents – the 3rd was but she fell off track along the way. I’m not sympathetic in the least bit for Andrea but you can’t blame Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell for their daughter’s decisions. They told her not to bring her boyfriend back into their home, yet she apparently did it anyway and at a vulnerable time. Her parents did as much for her as they could and the honest truth is nobody knows what really happened that evening and why other than Andrea, Joe and Mrs. Maxwell (rest in peace).
As for the comment about Andrea and Joe playing video games and giggling, read any actual news report you can find about this tragic situation and then think about whether it’s logical that they would have been sitting in her room playing video games waiting for someone to come home and find them. I don’t know whether it happened or not but if something doesn’t come from an accurate news source, please don’t buy into it or spread it around.
This is bad enough as it is and please think how you would feel if this was your family and complete strangers were starting horrific rumors. Just keep in mind that this family is going through enough pain without additional torment from outsiders. This is my friend’s family…please respect their feelings and privacy to the small extent they have it right now.

Any more information on this? Who did the stabbing, both of them or just the boyfriend? They are both being charged with murder so I am assuming both of them took part in the attack? Holy shit.
I admit I am not a kid friendly person, I mean I love my kids, but get me at a family function with all the kids and holy shit, I’m looking for the nearest exit. (a visit to Chuckie Cheeses to me is pure hell) So, as a parent, I find it a bitch that you raise your damn kids, and one turns around and kills your ass. That’s just wrong.

By reading the search warrant, and from comments made by investigators, this looks like an ambush, doesn’t it?
While the news have already been reporting on the bloody towels, gloves and knifes in multiple rooms, as well as the shopping bag full of clothes beside her leg (she had just gotten home from shopping with her mother), it’s the keys in the door that have me thinking it was. Also, Davidson County Sheriff David Grice commented that a cleanup of some type had been performed in an attempt to remove evidence. Her body had been dragged to the bathroom from the living room.

Like I have said for awhile now kids today have no and i repete no respect I know the world is alot diffrent now than it was back the but at least back when i was growing up you were tought to respect your elders kids did’nt carry guns to school and you did’nt here about daddy’s killing and raping children . Kids went out side to play without fear they didn’t have to stay indoors and become video junkies westayed out til dark or until mom called us in for supper and when your parents said NO! thats just what the hell it meant you didnt stab them to death just because you wer’nt allowed to date the local thug you cried and got the fuck over it well now I am not for child abuse but you have to admit that most of the problems in the world today stem from the state dfs saying that you no longer spank your child you must use time out as i said child abuse is one thing disapline is another !!!!!! Well let me tell ya’ll one thing I got my backside swatted growing up and I aint out raping killin ,robbin ect…. yep things sure are diffrent nowdays kids are being raised with the knowledge that they can do just about any damn thing they want and the parents can’t do a thing about it except say Iam gonna put you in time out well I am here to say Fuck your time out bull shit I think if the parents of today would spank not beat their kids ass and teach the moral family values then their would’nt be so mush of this shit happening OH!!! yeah my parents believed in the time out method they took time out of their busy day to bust my ass when i deserved it

While I agree that things have changed from generation to generation, and it is funny hearing myself saying to my kid “Back in my day we blah, blah, blah” just like my dad did to me and my siblings, the one thing that has not changed is the fact that kids have been killing their parents long before this girl.

It looks as if the problem people were having with posting had to do with the Quiktags option I had installed. Those were the buttons that made it easy of you to bold, italicize, etc if you did not know HTML commands. Seems as if with it enables, some posts were not available to some users (including myself). I’ll see what I can do to get the buttons back.

“farmergurl62″ Amen!!! I got my share of spankings too – and I deserved everyone of them – not to mention all of the ones I didn’t get that I deserved, as well. I don’t rape, murder, steal, or any of that bad shit. Because like you, I was taught respect for my elders and all people. I was taught what was right and wrong. When, I was wrong I got my ass busted, too. Possibly that is why I am not in the pen. Thanks to my parents and family for firing my ass up when it needed it. And, if all will notice farmergurl62 and myself are referring to our butts being spanked not being smacked in the head or kicked in the stomach, not being hit with stove wood. I’m not going to put my real name here, but I happened to know the guy who’s dad was the officer that drove Coleman to Raleigh’s Prison.
And get this, this crazy motherfucker showed absolutely no remorse on the way to the prison and actually talked to my buddy’s dad (the officer) about the incident.
He said that Andrea’s mom did not let her go to Florida with him for the Thanksgiving Holiday which ended in what else but a domestic dispute. Apparently this sparked the murder (crazy, I know), he it was like a “last straw” for them. He said, and I kid you not, that Andrea walked up to her mother; hugged her, and told her she loved her. Thats when Coleman tackled her to the ground and began stabbing her while Andrea held her down (I believe he said he stabbed her the first 14 or 15 times), and Andrea began stabbing her after Coleman (the last 15 or so). And that’s not the sickest part; they were chanting during the fiasco. Can you believe that? After Judith Maxwell was dead, they began cleaning up, and put the majority of the bloodstained rags etc in a bag in the bathroom and moved the body. After that they began playing video games until the Father came home who soon found the body. When he saw the two, Joe had a knife in his hand, but made no attempt to stab the father. The father punched Andrea’s punk ass out cold as well as Coleman and then called 911.
You know, I don’t even care hat this girl was accepted into college. Think of how many American terrorists went to college for God’s sake! This sick girl had a warped mind and was brainwashed by Coleman who was so screwed up and attention hungry. I personally went to High School with Coleman and probably talked to him once in 4 years, and knew right then that he was a crazy ass wierdo. Trying to commit suicide 37 times and haven’t succeeded= ATTENTION! ATTENTION! ATTENTION! This asshole only seeked attention and the problem with him is that he dragged someone down with him. This girl may not be getting the same punishment as Coleman, but she should. And I, for one hope that the state of North Carolina executes Joe Coleman, and hurries the hell up with it because I sure don’t like the thought of even a penny of my tax dollars are keeping him fed in prison. The only thing I want my tax dollars paying for him is a dose of lethal injection so he can answer to God. And as for Andrea, I think she deserves life (if not the death penalty) in a prison full of mullet-dyke female inmates who constantly remind her that she is scum just like Coleman.
And again, who cares if she was an honor student? Who cares if she got accepted to UNC-G? UNC-G won’t miss her, and there are always going to be straight A students, but not everyone is going to slay their mother in a cult-like fashion, and for that, I think only in hell is where she needs to be, if not a damn good explanation for her creator.
So yeah, hopefully Coleman is sent to death row, and Andrea, she should never live a free second for the rest of her life.

Yeah, its totally true. When he was in the back of the police cruiser on the way to Raleigh, he told the driver that the two laughed at the father at first when he came into the room where they were playing video games. All the information he gave out in the cruiser was documented I know for a fact because the driver of the vehicle told me; talk about hearing it from the horses mouth! I doubt it will do much more for the court since he is pretty much fucked, but yeah, its true. Lexington is a small town and everyone kind of finds out everything. No prob on the information, at least I know that the info is true, because that is some insanely crazy shit.

I wish she would have never met him, to say he was a plague to society is an understatement, she was a nice girl, really smart and funny but it was like terminal cancer when she met him. once she was with him there was no separating them and this is the end result. 2 families left heart broken, with no explanation why.

i actually went to school with joe coleman at central and i seen him plenty of times… he was one of those goth guys who stood at the back of the commonds area fucking with ppl and just doin whatever those kind of guys do. i never once talked to him… seriously just being near him freaked me out 4 some reason. now i know why. i do know one of the Crime Scene Investigators who investigated the scene and from my understanding the spartan guy is pretty good with his sources. this truely is a tragedy… but i didnt know andrea.. i do live maybe 10 minutes away from where this happened. my little cousin plus alot of my friends went to school with this girl and they did say she was a nice smart girl but fuck that they def need to rott. i cant imagine ever doing nething like that to someone i care about or to anyone at all. i wouldnt even wish anything like that upon my worst enemy. its pretty scarey because u cant under estimate ANYONE these days because u def. dont know what they are capible of now-a-days. im joes age not much older than andrea and i got my ass whooped as a child all the time… i’ll admitt there were times i was so mad at my parents i said bad things and even tryed to buck on my mom haha she looked at me with that eye and i knew i was about to get my ass beat lol i got mad at my parents alot but i just really cant imagine what they were thinking.. or what possessed them to do a thing like this. my mom didnt like alot of my boyfriends and didnt want some at my house and didnt let me go out with some.. but i found a way to get past all that if i wanted to be with him… eventually things would work out… so that is insane. this story did a number on the kids from central and all over our state and prolly all across the world.. but it really goes to show.. u never know what ppl are able to do.. so these kids goin out here fighting and bulying and joining gangs that everyone else thinks they are fake and stuff….. dont think that too much.. u might be suprised.
