Acworth, Ga. – Three boys, one 8 and two 9-years old, are in a Cobb County youth detention center after being charged with the kidnap and rape of an 11-year-old girl. The girl told police they had all been playing outside the West Ridge Apartments before she was taken into the nearby woods against her will and assaulted.

"The three boys have been charged with crimes ranging from rape, sexual assault, kidnapping and false imprisonment," said Capt. Wayne Bennard of the Acworth Police Department.

This reminds me of a story…

When I was in about fourth grade, these 3 guys sexually assaulted this girl, behind the kindergarten building. They were all from my class but I don’t remember what happened to them. I think the girl just changed schools or something.

What a terrible shame – the girl had to leave she. I really hope these kids can be kept away from other children and since they are so young – maybey this is a case where rehabilitation is a possibility.

This happens more and more. My child is in Kindergarten. One of the other children was intimidating her an touching her inappropriately. We had already had the “good touch/ bad touch” talk so she came to me with details that made it unmistakeable whatthis kid was up to. I contacted the school, told them they better take care of it or I would. I taught my daughter how to defend herself if it ever were to happen again and made sure that the boy would be watched. This kid is FIVE YEARS OLD is hard to control and had already thrown a chair at the teacher. My question is what the hell are they teaching him at home? Kids are being so screwed up these days you not only have to guard them against adult predators, you have to watch other KIDS too. It gets harder and harder to be a parent.

thepooh5…You’re right, maybe this is a case where rehab is possible, these boys were so young. Does anyone feel as I do, that there is just too much sex displayed in our society? Society has made the beautiful human body into something trashy and nasty. I watch very little TV for I feel it is so damn sexist. MTV embarrasses the shit out of me, half naked girls running around. What is it with our society and the need to show so much tits and ass? Sorry, that sounds so crude. I just feel like it is thrown in the faces of children. Sex is a wonderful thing, the body is a wonderful thing….to be shared by consenting ADULTS. Maybe I’m just older (43 going on 20 *smiles*) and a prude. I get sick of personal ads in my newspapers, I get sick of half naked women on my TV and in my magazines….so yes, I do NOT watch the Boob Tube, read some magazines for the simple reason, I think they treat women in a degrading way. Of course, I suppose some women allow themselves to be put in that situation. I just think parents aren’t paying enough to what the hell their kids are reading, watching and listening to. I am an adult, I can make a choice that I won’t read a magazine because there is sex call numbers as ads in the back of the mag., I can turn the channel on my TV if someone’s ass is hanging out and they’re dancing like they’re humping someone, I can refuse to by the newspapers in my area that allow personal ads to be placed…ya know the kind “Hot and young…Call me for a good time”.
Anyway I ran on with that a little much, my point is….these damn boys are victims of our society and yes, the rehab, the teaching, needs to be done now. Maybe we should teach more in our schools about these things. Education is the key. Women are beautiful beings. Not nasty pieces of trash to be used for whatever.
Oh yeah, I refuse to eat at a “Hooters” until they have a restaurant called “Cocks” with guys with big dicks in little tight silky shorts and no shirts on. Ha Ha…Yeah, I wouldn’t fucking go there either, but ya get my point.
    Peace to all.

Well, to be honest, I don’t think it is getting any worse than it ever has been. You just have sites like mine posting the stories everyday. We played doctor as kids, and I saw my first vagina in 1st grade by a girl who insisted that I put blades of grass and small sticks in it. Innocent curiosity. Had this happened today, I would had probably been on this site charged with raping her.

We also had the problem kids who hit the teachers, as well as two neighbor boys caught playing with each others junk behind a house when they were about 6 or 7.

Not saying that times aren’t changing, but I don’t think it is worse than it ever was, and if I am not mistaken, the crime statistics reflect that.

I just want to clarify that the kid bothering my child was THREATENING her and she was afraid of him. She was being cornered and fondled against her will. Not a willing participant in “playing doctor.” This I would have been able to deal with.

and I agree with you. We may just be hearing about it more and more thanks to technology. I know half the stuff I was subjected to in high school by horny teenage boys would be considered convictable crimes today.

The dad of one of the boys just made a statement that the girl didn’t cry rape until her Mom caught on. I really hope this didn’t happen, I would like to think 8 and 9 year old kids don’t think about sex and stuff. And the little girl was 11, couldn’t she beat the crap out of the younger boys???

There is a place called “Swinging Richards” in Atlanta, and it is a male strip club so there is your business!

Wow. What a story this would be if the sex was actually consensual.

I think that at 11 there is no such thing as consenual sex.

Unfortunately, I know a girl who did twin brothers when we were in the 5th grade. She was 10, they were 11. She admitted it. And you always hear about pregnat 12 year olds. I had two of them in school with me. The fathers were adults and high school boys though.

It is possible she was willing, but a SHITTY thing for the dad to try if it isn’t true.

Yeah, I had a friends 12-year-old sister who made the rounds as well. She wasn’t forced into anything, and pretty much initiated it. I know that she wasn’t looking at sex the same way a bunch of 15-year-olds in hormone-overload, but it was definitely consensual. It didn’t help much that she had no father and her female peers were all around 15 or 16, with most of them sexually active as well, in some degree or another.

There’s probably more to this story. Apparently the girl was discussing the “incident” with her friends at a slumber party. If I’m a rape victim, I wouldn’t be attending a slumber party. This leads me to believe it may have been consensual and parents found out. I’m only assuming this is the case after reading an article on FOXNews.com. It’s sad regardless because either she’s a vicitim or the young boys are victims (probably all to some degree). Sex (consensual or forced) at such a young age is hard to fathom!

WTF! You can’t consent at 11, 9, and 8. You have to be so old to drive, vote, buy a car, what have you. If it turns out not to be rape – and I pray it does, what the hell has been going on, at any of the kids involved houses?

I only say I hope it wasn’t rape because in my mind it would be better to deal with children being sexually active, WAY TOO SOON than to believe 8 an 9 yr old boys think about raping girls that early.

Its a shitty situation either way – I just hope it was non-violent for all parties involved.

PARENTS OF THESE CHILDREN – WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN AND WHAT ARE YOU TEACHING?

The thing that is really bothering me about this case is that they have these little boys locked up – 8 and 9 years old – in a juvenile facility. They are too damn young to be locked up like this. I believe it was probably like “playing doctor” and the little girl got caught. I am mad as hell that they are keeping these little boys locked up, why not “house arrest”? They would have had hell taking my son away from me at that young of an age let alone spend the night in some type of facility – HELL NO! I told my husband I would be sleeping beside the building if my son was in there. And since they don’t consider children this age to be able to commit a crime why not let them go home and let their folks look after them!!!

Rosie, I don’t know this for a fact, but I believe that children of their ages are segregated from the teens. If they are not, then they should not be at the same facility. For all concerned, I hope it was a case of playing doctor. Tragic what the boys went through, if that is the case.

Kids now adays are having sex much too soon. I know a girl that is 9 and wears full face makeup, gets her nails professionally done and dresses in short mini skirts. My own daughter is 8 and makeup to her is lipgloss, each of her nails is a different color and dresses are yucky. I know that a lot of parents let their daughters dress up more grown up and if you look at little girl fashions in the stores its like shopping at Hookers-R-Us. Parents need to be parents and force stores to sell decent clothes and encourage our daughters to be kids while they can. I think its wrong that these boys are being detained this way, I agree with the house arrest idea. I think that even if it was consentual, so to speak, it needs to be dealt with someway to deter all involved from this unhealthy lifestyle. A kid in my daughters 1st grade class last year pushed her down and laid on her, and she went thru the roof. So I think alot of the problem is the way kids are raised, or should I say, not raised these days.

My god. My son is 7 years old, and he is still a BABY! He gets mad when I mention the name of a girl he likes at school, he gets so embarrassed. He and his classmates still take stuffed animals to school. I cannot imagine him “raping” anyone. That is unreal. Let’s not jump to conclusions and say that the girl is lying though, nowadays nothing surprises me anymore in regards to what some of these young kids are capable of.
