Well, I hate doing an update story on a story that is directly beneath the update, but Michael John Anderson, 19, is accused of shooting Katherine Ann Olson in the back at his home in suburban Savage. Police believe Olson was killed in Anderson's house sometime after she arrived Thursday morning. Investigators found blood splatters in the man's bedroom and on his mattress, as well as bloody drag marks down the stairs of the home during an initial search at 10:20 p.m. FridayFriday reviewsFriday reviews. They also found bloodstains on a pair of his shoes and a .357 Magnum and a shell casing from the gun in Anderson's room. Anderson admitted he was present during Olson's slaying but said the killing was committed by a friend of his who "thought it would be funny," according to the complaint.

    Where did this happen at? I missed this one as well. How was he connected to the victim?

    It happened in Minnesota. There was no connection between John Anderson and the victim aside from the fact she was unlucky enough to answer the ad.

    His parents and friends seem truly shocked. I know that is always said in these cases, but even I find this one strange. No cohorts? Help? He just decided one day to plan (badly) to kill someone? One of the crazier stories here that doesn’t get talked about much.

    Michael John Anderson, 20, was convicted Tuesday night on all six counts, including first-degree murder, for shooting and killing Katherine Ann Olson, 24. He is scheduled to be sentenced this morning.

    It was a five-hour jury decision that ended in the life prison sentence for a man convicted of murdering victim Katherine Ann Olson. Anderson, dubbed the ‘Craglsist killer’, will serve a life sentence without parole.

    They say he stuffed Olson’s body in a sleeping bag in her trunk and drove five blocks away before ditching the car at Kraemer Nature Preserve in Burnsville.

    He wrapped her crushed cell phone in a blood-smeared towel — that had his name written on it with a black marker — and stuffed it in nearby trash can, authorities said.
