A Lakeville woman has been charged in connection with the Aug. 25 drowning death of her 11-month-old daughter.
After putting her 11-month old daughter, Cecelia, in the bathtub with her 2-year-old son, Katherine Bodem did what most parents do and left them unattended while she went downstairs to shop for shoes online. Surprisingly, the 11-month-old drowned.

repeatedly told officers ““I’m so stupid, this has been a horrible year for me.†and that she was only gone for 10 minutes before returning upstairs, and witnessing her son pulling Cecelia out of the tub. But her other two children told officers she had been gone for 20 minutes and that the brother came downstairs and said, “Mom, CC.”
Bodem is charged with two counts of second-degree manslaughter. If convicted, she could face up to 10 years in prison and $20,000 in fines.
