Fairport, NY – The white race suffered a tremendous blow when 5 pretty, white girls died in a fiery crash. All 5 girls just graduated from Fairport High School , 4 of them cheerleaders. Killed in the accident were Hannah Congdon, 18; Bailey Goodman, 17; Meredith McClure, 17; Sara Monnat, 18; and KatherineKatherine reviews
“Katie” Shirley, 18.
All 5 girls were on their way to Bailey’s parents lake cottage, followed by another group of friends in another vehicle. Bailey was driving her family’s Chevrolet TrailBlazer when she passed a van driving slowly in the right lane. WitnessesWitnesses reviews state that Bailey then crossed again into the oncoming lane, smashing into the tractor-trailer. The collision was so forceful that both erupted into flames. The driver of the truck, who tried to come to the girls aid, was not injured.
“The fire trapped the five girls in the SUV. They were unable to escape,” said Lt. Bill Gallagher of the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office. “Both vehicles were engulfed. There was no chance for rescue.”

UPDATE – CellCell reviews phone records show a text message was sent from the phone belonging to the driver, Bailey Goodman, at 10:05:52. A reply was sent to her phone at 10:06:29. Thirty-eight seconds later, someone called 911 to report the accident that killed Bailey and her friends. – Source

I have been reading about this incredibly sad accident and I am profoundly sad for the people who lost their lives, their families, Fairport, and the truck driver. It is incredible to think of such a terrible accident, but what is equally as incredible is the ignorant, mindless and immature comment by some douchebag named ‘john.’ Your ignorance really shows that you need to grow up and get a life. You, quite possibly, are mentally ill for making such an uninformed comment. By the way, why are you so deranged to make such a comment? You should be ashamed of yourself. What incredibly insincere and rude comments made by john and berserker. These young ladies died and the press that followed their untimely deaths is because their community (Fairport and Rochester) care for them. We all care for each other and the outpouring of love from across the country could be seen at the high school where calling hours lasted from noon today until aftrer 6 pm. Thousands from the community waited more than two hours to sign sympathy books, watch slide shows, speak with the family members and to grieve. Flowers, cards and e-mails from across the country speak for the love of the girls.

You are both so right. Those are comments of someone who is sick. I did not know those girls or are even from their community, but I am sad about what happened nonetheless. The outpouring of love and support for them speaks for itself. My guess would be that if the ever so judgemental ‘john’ and ‘beserk’ ever make a mistake and lose their own insignificant lives would they have the same outpouring of love from the community? We all know the answer is clearly ‘no.’ As a matter of fact no one would would notice let alone care. they are shameful.

I knew several of these girls, including Bailey, and they were all wonderful. This is coming from a non-popular person who was emotionally abused by a large portion of the popular crowds. Hannah was especially sweet, and you’ll read all over that everyone remembers her for her smile. You read that about all people who die young, but for her it is the truth.
Please show some respect for these young women. You didn’t know them, so you can’t possibly have an opinion of them. I admit that white people get more coverage when something bad happens, and that is something that needs to be changed in society and in the media, but that’s no reason to use these innocent girls in your anti-white statement.
And Berserker, high school is over. There shouldn’t even be any discussion about popularity going on.

Hannah was my cousin. My sister is married to a black man and they have mixed children. So if you really want to know some black people were also apart of this story. Hannah went to India last year to help tsunami victims and never thought once about a person’s race in the time of need.

I’m from Rochester and I graduated in 2006. I didn’t know any of the girls, but just hearing that these girls were around the same age and from the same area as me made me even more incredibly sad to hear about this tragedy. I still can’t believe that these 5 beautiful girls are gone. I wish this whole accident never happened. I cry every time I hear about it and I’m still so shocked. They are all in a better place looking down on there friends, family members and everyone they care about…May they all Rest In Peace! My heart and prayers go out to those of their loss!
And to the people who are making such disgusting remarks please keep your comments to yourselves. How dare you say such hurtful things about them when they aren’t even here to diffend themselves. Look, one of these chicks killed herself and her 4 friends by being irresponsible and breaking the law. Defending the murder/suicide that led to 5 young women charring to powder in their prime, while berating people who are merely making fun of stupid cheerleaders is downright evil. Place the blame where it belongs, with the stupid cunt behind the wheel who was probably laughing at some gossip, queuing up the next tune on her iPod, flicking some cigarette ashes out the window, taking a sip out of her MegaGulp, fidgeting in her sweaty thongs, and trying to overtake traffic with her learner’s permit all at the same time.

Anybody could have gotten into an accident like this, maybe even you. I was at the scene where this accident happened a few days after…and just being there was so intense and extremely sad…you could still smell the buring gasoline from the enormous fire that erupted right when they hit that tractor trailer, the trees were all burned and the ground was torn to shreds, it was nothing like what you might have seen on t.v. and this certainly wasn’t like any other accident. The difference is that these women were really young and there were so many that died in this horrific car crash. It makes no sense to me either when dumbasses say that she killed her and her 4 friends because do you really think she said, Oh today I think I’m going to get into my car with my 4 best friends and drive into a truck. I don’t think so. Also, if you were paying attention to the news Bailey (the driver) wasn’t breaking the law! She had her night license and she took drivers ed in school that said she could get that type of license, but the stupid DMV didn’t put it in the file. So really their at fault because they weren’t doing what they were supposed to. So technically she didn’t break the law, so get your stories straight before post false ones. Also, what does it matter anyway if she did or didn’t have the right kind of license because either way this tragic incident would have most likely happened either way..so don’t you dare blame Bailey for that. It’s the media who are trying to make her look bad and it’s extremely wrong! Everyone makes mistakes and I’m sure you have too. You can’t tell me you haven’t because every normal person does. These girls were soo smart and beautiful and they didn’t deseve this at all. They were going to attend college and be successful at whatever they wanted to do in life. Being smart and beautiful makes their death more tragic? Your values are disturbing. Each of these girls was going to die at some point in their lives. You think it is worse now than it would be to die at age 30 with a few kids in their pre-teens? Besides, last time I checked the female/male ration of the United States was 51/49 or so. This “accident” just makes up for 5 male deaths in Iraq.
You people just don’t have any perspective. 5 young people die in car wrecks every day. Two of my own friends died their senior year in separate wrecks. The only reason you find this “tragic” is because all 5 girls were in the same car. Spread this out over 5 one-person deaths within a 6-month period and only family and friends shed a tear.

And nobody protests the fact that more servicemen have died on motorcycles since returning from Afghanistan than have died FIGHTING in Afghanistan. If you look at the racial breakdown of people on AFDC, 38.8% of them are white, while 37.2% of them are Black, and 17.8% are Hispanic. Granted, there are more whites than blacks, so a higher proportion of blacks compared to their ratio of the population is on welfare, but a higher total number of whites are on welfare. Voice of Fairport…Thank you! It’s rediculous how people come on this blog and post hateful comments. And it definitely wasn’t their fault what color they were or how pretty they were. This accident was never about race, but no some people have nothing better to do than put a situation like this into something about racism. Not every thing revolves around that shit..so seriously get over it and get the hell of this message board and find something better to do with your life! These were innocent women that would have never acted this way towards someone like you. For someone who’s talking about racism you certainly sound like the one who’s racist. Everyone here in Rochester is in mourning so please be respectful. It’s not everyday that a serious accident like this happens around here and that’s another reason why this story was posted all over the world. There are little communities all over Rochester and Fairport is one of those small communities. Sometimes it’s rare that so many people come together and support eachother from all over Rochester. It has touched and changed so many people here, including me. Like I said in a recent posting, I’m 19 yrs. old and after this it made me think about my own life and how in an instant it can change, so cherish each moment you have with the people around you that you love and the people that love you! Sometimes people need to think about that. I never even knew them, but I live close to Fairport, but you really didn’t know them to be sad by a situation like this…well that is if you have a heart! Which seems like not a lot of you do. But to everyone that is supporting the families and friends it definitely means a lot to everyone in Rochester.

The sad truth of the matter is that the ubiquitousness of the media coverage IS racist. I used to be an associate producer at NBC, so I know all too well. Swivel’s delivery is rough around the edges, but is correct in his assessment regarding putting this in perspective. And John is also correct–the driver was breaking the law. In NYS a 17 year old cannot legally drive past 9pm without a licensed 21-year-old in the front seat. Also, it is illegal for a 17 year old to have more than two passengers in the vehicle. The laws are there to prevent these tragedies. All this being said—none of it matters because after all is said and done these girls are dead and somebody loved them. As humans we should comfort those who are grieving and support that community if we have a heart. And we should also remember…..that if our children build trust with us that doesn’t mean we should reward them by allowing them to break the laws. That is plain stupidity.

It’s a tragic thing that people die everyday, young and old. But it’s part of life. These 5 girls were special to the people that loved them, beautiful to the people that loved them, smart and caring and funny to people who loved them. The real reason this story was posted around the world was because everyone in Fairport got together and supported eachother. You usually don’t see a community like that today having people everywhere that knew them and didn’t know them coming together to support one another by giving flowers, attending vigils, wakes and funerals. People need to realize that this isn’t a big town and for everyone getting together because of this accident is definitely a big deal. That’s the main reason this accident was said around the world. To the “Farmer in VA” who was disappointed because the news media didn’t come and cover the story about the Mennonite farmers that were probably from his community. Consider yourselves lucky! Why would you think that news coverage of any kind of tragedy is a good thing? 99% of those of us who knew and loved those girls would have preferred to be left alone; instead insensitive people from the MEDIA reported speculative information that wasn’t true, and took pictures and videos (with telescopic lenses) of mourners when they were asked not to. Those of us who live in Fairport didn’t ask them to come, and we didn’t ask for judgements from insensitive people who didn’t know our girls. And to Mable Hodges, the ex associate producer from NBC: just another media slime ball who thinks she is qualified to judge people she didn’t know. Unfortunately, she *was* driving illegally. Her license did not permit her to drive after 9pm unless she had a parent in the car and she shouldn’t have had 4 occupants with her.
The only thing she was guilty of was most likely inexperienced driving. She may have caught the edge of the road after passing and overcorrected, she may have been (most likely was) distracted by the conversation and excitement, the heady thrill of graduation week. Maybe she glanced down to change the CD. Who knows? But her parents should never have allowed her to break the law. As hard as it was, when my son had his junior license he only drove within the guidelines. Not even to run to 1/2 mile to get milk. I would never have allowed him take off at night with a car full of friends.

Well, first off, Bailey was driving illegally – which was probably the 2nd biggest contributor to this accident, behind, the most obvious; teenagers live and breath off of texting, and calling via cell phone. The crash was ultimately the drivers fault, but just think next time you drive on the road, do you think about getting in a car accident? Do you list that as high priority? No, you want to get from A to B, and you do so by the same means that youve done before. All the money in the world says that Bailey has driving while texting prior, and obviously didn’t die.
but as for the remarks of the girls being stupid and shit, for fuck’s sake, it was an accident. When an accident happens were a life or more is taken, its sad. You lose friends, family, loved ones etc. Theres no reason you should wish death on anyone.

Every day I see dumb white chicks in SUV’s and I think to myself, “They are going to get someone killedâ€, and sure enough, in your po-dunk town, it actually happened. Good riddance.
I hope you “roast” in hell for saying that. How dare you say that about ANYONE!!! If you have a problem with how these girls died, the color they were, how popular they were, how many people loved them and cared about them, if Bailey was or was not driving illegally, whether she had her music up or not (which I bet you have driven with your music up or done something illegal and this could’ve easily happened to you!).. move on with your OWN life, you DON’T have to say anything about this situation. There is NO reason why you should ever say anything like that.

So now we know …. this was a disaster waiting to happen!
Let’s see … five 17 year old girls in a car, driving at night with learners permits (banning driving after 9pm at 17 years old)…. numerous cell phone and text message calls being placed right up to the last few seconds of the crash by the driver or possibly driver side passenger….passing the van at over 55 mph, above the posted speed limit (the van which was going the speed limit at 55)….
Talk about irresponsible … these girls were just destined to die sooner or later with this reckless driving behavior.
ENOUGH OF THE CELL PHONES AND iPODS WHEN DRIVING, JUST CONCENTRATE ON THE ROAD …. IDIOTS!

And I wouldn’t know how it would feel to mourn the loss of loser friends that broke the law and are cherished for it. All of my friends studied hard, didn’t drink, worked full-time to buy our OWN cars, and wouldn’t be caught dead texting bullshit back and forth.
