It was alright. No jaw-droppers.

Game Highlights (all to be available this year):

XBOX Live\Marketplace:

Other Announcements

  • Europe is getting the 360 Elite.
  • Two new titles coming to Games for Windows, Gears of WarWar reviewsWar reviews and Viva Piñata.
  • Other GFW titles shown, including Hellgate: LondonLondon reviewsLondon reviews, CrysisCrysis reviewsCrysis reviews, and World in Conflict.

Awkward Moments

  • Jeff Bell playing Madden ‘08 with Reggie Bush. Listening to Bell calling Bush “brother” as well as them trying to act like the are two friends ragging each other while playing was forced and uncomfortable
  • Peter Moore playing Rock Band and singing
  • Assassin’s Creed demo with terrible commentary. Game looked sweet, though.
  • Peter showing a new Xbox 360 that is a baby-shit green Halo 3 Special Edition 360…met with the sounds of crickets in the audience

But all-in-all, it was fairly informative yet kind of boring press conference that got a tad awkward in a few spots that are always to be expected. The line-up of games they have coming out is massive and considering that every game they showed (except for one) will all be available this year…well that was pretty nice. I really would have loved to see that price drop, or Metal Gear SolidMetal Gear Solid reviewsMetal Gear Solid reviews 4 announcement, or any jaw-dropping announcement…but the line-up of games was a massive one and really, isn’t that what it’s all about? The games?

Ongoing disucssion
