Preteen Sisters Kidnap Baby

July 6, 2007 at 10:28 am by

ENID, Oklahoma (AP) – A 12-year-old girl and her 10-year-old sister have been arrested for kidnapping. The pair broke into the house of Sheila Wells and took her 1-year-old son, Brandon, while she slept. They left a ransom note that simply stated “If you want to see your son again then you won’t call police and report him missing and you will leave $200,000 on the sofa tonight and we will return your son back safe,” and was signed “the kidnappers“.

There plan fell apart when the girl’s mother saw them with the baby and they told her they had found the baby in the corner. While the sister’s mother attempted to find Sheila Well’s number, the 12-year-old went to Sheila’s house and blamed her 10-year-old sister for the deed.

Wells retrieved her son and the police were called. The girls have not been formally charged, but were taken to Community Convention Center for juveniles.
