NORTH CANTON, Ohio — 26-year-old Jessie Davis has been missing since Wednesday after talking to her mother over the phone around 9:20 p.m. The mother went to check on Jessie the following morning after repeated tries to contact her. Once inside, she found toppled furniture, the scattered contents of her purse and a pool of bleach on the floor and Jessie’s 2-year-old son in his room and in a dirty diaper. He told his grandmother that his “Mommy is in the rug” and some sites are reporting that a rug is also missing from the home.

The house showed no sign of forced entry or that a struggle had ensued. Jessie’s vehicle and a purse were still at the residence and a cell phone and comforter are missing. The father of the 2-year-old and the unborn baby are the same. He is estranged from Jessie Davis as well as a police officer.
