Woman Decapitated at Meat Processing Plant

A 53-year old married mother of two, a cleaning supervisor for a meat processing factory, was decapitated in a bizarre accident involving a piece of the factory’s machinery she was cleaning. The incident happened around 3.am. Saturday.

Bernard Hoggarth, Delico chief executive, said: “This is horrendous for her family and for everyone who was working at the factory at the time. It’s such a tragic incident — we’ve never experienced anything like it.”

He went on to state that he was not sure how the accident could ahve happened as: “The machine was not a slicer, it doesn’t have blades and there were no exposed parts.”

The Delico plant where the accident occurred produces pre-cooked ham and pork for supermarkets and high street shops and was just sold to Hull-based sausage-maker Cranswick in November.
