5% of Market Share Must Mean Something…

Why does it seem like all extremists are perfect hypocrites? Loud people seem to always do the exact opposite of what they claim to stand for, and actually do all the things they mock others for doing. A few cases:
Environmentalists were gaga over the pre-catalytic-converter VW bus.
Anti-business Wal-Mart haters are actually anti-consumer and pro-business (just not Wal-Mart)
Republicans spend more and expand the government faster than Democrats.
Christians pretend there is an afterlife, but they are the ones who can’t cope with death. Right Mrs. Shiavo?
Democrats pretend to be “for” the environment, when they are actually just anti-corporation. And corporations are the ones that keep finding ways to improve the environment.
Apple fans pretend to be “sticking it to the man”, when they are actually supporting a lawsuit-crazy, proprietary-making, closed-source, over-priced, elitist piece of shit which is only good for working in design industries. While Microsoft is part of an open-architecture, populist, philanthropic company which is all about gaming.
And yet, just like the rest of the extremist hypocrites, each is characterized as the opposite of what they truly are.
